So I'm removing my piece of shit dealer alarm and installing a viper system. Along the way of removing my system I touched nothing other than the harness going to the aftermarket alarm, and cut the tap in wires so all the factory wires remain untouched. Bottom line there is a BLACK wire wow the steering column that was split and used (I believe as an ignition kill), so Im assuming I need to just connect that back together. Aside from that I'm to the point where 4 wires (green/blue/black/white w black stripe) are tapped into a harness by the driver door/clutch area. If anyone knows how to hook this back up please let me know, the car turns on and tries to turn over, but still stops as if the ignition kill is still blocking it. ANY INPUT IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Does your new alarm not have all the schematics needed to hook it up.

Should give you all the needed information to get every thing back together the way you want.

Did you have the negative battery cable pulled while doing this surgery ??

Cause a fuse to open that is keeping it from starting ??

Just ripped my after market alarm out by the roots,,, got tired of it giving me grief,, didn't know for sure when I went into it if that was the problem, just my suspision from past dealings.

On mine the black was cut in half also. I just soldered it back together and shrink wrapped, the other wires were just tapped into harness.

Cranked right up and has been good since,,, mine was a "no crank issue".

Thanks for the input, turns out it was the clutch start cancel being unplugged that was killing the ignition:facepalm:

That is the first thing I do is remove that switch.

Then no one drives my stuff but me and the clutch always gets pushed

Then the truck is always parked in neutral but I check from years of habit.

my neutral safety switch is just right out disconnected, and possibly bypassed. but I have remote start on my truck as well. and I use it very often. only started it once while in gear. dummy best buddy left it in gear cause he's used to doing that from his WRX STI. punk......
