Ignition wire question

Im installing winjet fog lights and i didnt want to do the fuse tap thing the dude did in the video, the winjet site says splice/tap into an ignition wire.

I cant seem to find one without a wiring diagram. Any help please?

Im a helo electrician, its not that i cant do it. Its the lack of electrical schematics for this truck

 

The website and wire definitely said ignition

 

They made a simple mistake.

The point is to have it on an ignition source though, so it probably doesn't matter whether it's INJ or ignition (source). As long as whichever wire/fuse is tapped, it will only be on while ignition is on. I'm actually one of the people who don't want to use INJ for any taps, so I go for another source.

 

Dont ever tie into a injector or anything drivability wise to run anything. If it shorts out and blows fuse, your dead in the water. Looking at the underhood fuse/relay box, there should be a open relar spot with constant poer and possible a open fuse spot with keyed power. Then you could wire in a relay and do it right.

 

I do not know...My tea leaves/sea shells/rune stones are mostly correct.

Don't worry, OP's a helo electrician.. see's no issue splicing $50 ebay fogs directly into the ignition..
