Uhhh....they might? No idea. Wouldn't be surprised if they do. Be a lot bigger to handle I'd guess

Yeah, that's what I'm finding. I guess I'll just get an air one.

Pulled an all nighter to finish this project. Man forgetting the lug key really screwed me over.

Stuff looks good though. Made my alignment appointment right on time.

The lcas added about 2° castor. Pretty nice. Drives great now and no more hard pulling while braking! I also pets the shocks extend a lot easier. Gonna beat the hell out of the coils as the spindle contacts it pretty good. Ucas will happen sooner than later. Should give me 4° built in castor but the wheel will be centered so that will be nice.

Few complaints about the lower and the TC gussets but I'll elaborate on that later. Have to drive to work now. Gonna be a long day!

Front end is looking sweet I'd say. See how it performs over time. Just need ucas next. Then on to the rear..

That's kind of weird to think about. I know old LCA cams can be frozen and may therefore bushing may be able to bind too. But if that is what was happening on your truck, it would mean they were limiting extention of the coilover and I don't see how that is possible. :notsure:

I got some LR UCA's if you want them. Just need to finnish poping out all the old bushings and install the new poly bushings (which I also have). UBJ's are pretty new, no more than 10,000 miles. Let me know, I might let them go for cost of shipping.

Appreciate the offer. I'll just buy one, they aren't expensive. I was just worried about how well my little air compressor will do but it should be fine. It'd made for small contractor type jobs so should run the air hammer well enough to remove the old cam tabs once I drill out the spot welds. Not going to happen for a while still anyhow.

I've run my hammer of the little compressors in my truck. You only need short bursts with these things thankfully.

Hmm I don't think so. Has rake still right now which is what I wanted. Might be a bit taller possibly. I'll have to look closer at where the uca sits. That's how I generally judge the height vs the tire to wheel well.

    Psh fits great!

Wow. Did you upgrade to something else? Is the upper joint the original design or the new one?

man I had to freaking lean on mine to get it off. But worked great. Couldn't get the grinder to the driver side rear one by the rack(didn't fully pull the rack) and it still cut through the welds. So worth it.

That's possible. Though on the drive to the shop it should have reset the coils a bit. Mike is right though on the bushings more likely binding.

I know mine now move 100% better than before. With ucas I'll definitely need to add limit straps. Spindle smacks the coil over now

I got some used unibal UCA's.

The joints are the new ones with the grease fittings. The old joints wore out about a year ago and I got these from wheelersoffroad. I also have an unused old style UBJ that I've kept around for a trail spare for years.

One of the arms has minor cosmetic damage from cutting out the old busihing but I was able to get one bushing out without actually cutting into the inside of the sleeve but may have a burr or two that needs to be filled down along the edges. The other UCA i haven't worked on yet. The bushings are a bitch to get out which is why I went ahead and bought new UCA's.

You're feeling it how it should feel if the factory was allowed to ignore people who complain about squeaks and a bit of harshness haha. Everything stays where it should when you use it after doing all the bushings and the truck is more predictable in all conditions involving turning and suspension cycling.

Can you not use heat to help get them out?

I have no experience with them but from what I remember seeing they’re rubber like the lower bushings?

Ive seen a technique that uses propane tourch to get them out. Going to try when I have time. Otherwise I'm going to "gift" them to Monte or whoever else wants them. If I can get them out, I might charge like $100 but not much more. For extra, I've devised a plan to install grease fittings but never got that far yet.

Hm not bad. Good deal either way. I'll pm you.

Non of my stock bushings have ever wanted to go down. The poly bushings I can move by hand up and down. The stock ones always wanted to rest in a certain spot. At least that's how they should be.

Part of my reason for going to poly vs the stock design. That and the stock bushings us what...5 metal sleeves counting the cam ones? Stupid

Yeah so stock has outer metal sleeve-bushing-inner-sleeve-cam sleeve-bolt. Right? Haven't taken mine apart so not certain of that.

I have just the one sleeve inside the bushings-cam sleeve-bolt.

Hell of a lot less shit to worry about rusting together in one piece.

Lol yeah dude they are just big ass poly bushings. Just like my long travel arms. Or most ucas too. Thats one the the best reasons to get them really imo...now weither it's worth what they cost...not sure. That's personal. And I'd say yes so far for me!

    Huh odd about the taper.

Well you say that.. @Squeaky Penguin Brett says his white lines are already showing wear. I can't remember how long he's had his on. I figure I'll have to swap new bushings in 5 years. But it will be super easy for me to so now.
