Lol, he drove a Ford edge before

    Why wouldn't they install chargers?
It's a huge draw to bring in prospective tenants and installing the chargers is not insanely expensive.

Why would they have to raise every Tennant's rent? They can charge for the electricity used.

Sure, there are issues with EVs, but considering they are 1% of the cars on the roads they are pretty damn close.

It could be lucrative, tow truck hires out at $100/hr( just an example), pulls up to your dead EV starts charging at $100/hr. you could probably pull a generator with a Prius and make a killing at some point.

I think the little vortex generators around/under the mirrors are more for disrupting the airflow to prevent whistling noises. Same reason Schuberth (quietest motorcycle helmets you can get) put them on their helmet visors.

Please don't sell this mental giant a Tacoma. He'll just put it in the same damn snowbank and then ask Yahoo to write a lazy smear piece when he grenades the diffs.

People already need places to live. No need to draw in prospective tenants. Charger or no chargers they'll show up.

You can always add amenities to draw in tenants and increase the rental cost, but it's not necessary in populated areas.
If you can make more than $100 in under an hour towing a vehicle it makes no sense to go somewhere to charge an EV.

I wouldn't say there is no market for a mobile charging outfit. It wouldn't be practical for a busy tow company to make the minimal investment in equipment or the time required to handle the job. Somebody could make money doing that, but it would be a loss for a busy company.

Never noticed any wind noise on my 2G. Yes I believe you are correct that the disruptors are to prevent wind noise. I have seen them on Corollas.

Shape of the the 2G mirrors may not have needed it. Their design might not have had any whistling.

Yes, PEOPLE have places to live, that isn't the question. The Businesses are the ones looking to draw those people to them instead of them going to another business. And if they are a more desirable business then their "product" earns a higher amount. Open market economics and all.
It IS an amenity, that's the point.

Plus it could be a money maker. Per mile an EV is significantly cheaper than a gas car. All an apartment needs to do is make it cheaper than gas and it's a huge draw, for the person it costs less and it's charged while you sleep, you never need to go to the gas station at all. For the business they just have to be cheaper than gas, which should have good profits when they are buying electricity at normal rates

For anyone with Apple TV (maybe other services) check out the series “Long Way Up”…it’s the third of a series of supported and filmed motorcycle adventures.
This last one has the first two Rivian VIN#s supporting two of the earliest EV Harleys (along with guest appearances by a diesel sprinter, a generator on a flatbed, and a clapped out school bus). I enjoyed the series and learned things about charging, cold weather, EVs, etc.
Worth checking out in my opinion.
Another opinion of mine…this guy sounds like an entitled prick visiting his family’s great camp in the ADKs that tried to drive through a snowbank. Just a guess. I’d love to buy the flatbed driver a coffee and hear the details…

There is a most excellent documentary called Horatio's Drive. Highly recommended.

People had problems with their vehicles. However, most people recognized at the time that no one else was going to fix those problems for them.

For apartments, managers can have the charging stations installed in the parking lots if they WANT to (unless government asks them to) but I am sure enforce rules will apply which means they have time limit.. which you can NOT leave your car in charging space overnight, otherwise your car will be towed out. If they have charging station each parking space, then it would be good. So.. I am sure there are charging station in next door such as restaurants, college parking lot, etc.

EV will grow as more charging stations get installed.

Trust me, tow company will make new vehicles with charging system in it.

You see they make vehicles that they come to you to fix your computer(s) instead of you go to the shop and have them to fix your computer..

They always come up with new stuff.. new ways, etc.

Also, years ago, detailing mobile vehicles are ready and come to your home or office to detail your truck..

Pet mobiles are out there too for pet grooming..

    List goes on.

Pay a premium for a reserved charger space. Speaking of EV you can lease an IONIQ 5 for close to $600 a month. $600 a month to lease a Hyundai:confused:

Makes about as much sense as road service. Tow companies that have plenty of work don't waste their time with it. There's always someone somewhere willing to do the job, and someone will find a way to make it profitable.

Why the hell I would lease a vehicle? I wouldn't.

Apartments won't reserve the space for you... first come first serve. That's simple.

I don't know why high rise apartment buildings don't install zip lines from the upper floors down to where ecommerce is taking place no need for a vehicle or a parking space.
