Custom TRD Badged Grill, PowderCoated Black Steelies, with 285/75/16's. Studded Firestone Winter Force for Winter snow, Firestone Destination M/T for the summer mud, 2.75" Ready Lift Block kit in the front, and 2" AAL in the back, 5100 billies, TRD Cat-Back Exhaust, K&N CAI system under the hood, on a sesame seed bun.
... ESPECIALLY considering I rock the SUPER WHITE TRD SPORT truck, not the black Taco. BUT, I've decided the next thing I want to do is add the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) scanning light bar where my hood scoop is (whether it will fit or not, im not sure). GO ahead and laugh now................................. keep going........................ OK! Now, the question i have is, i found a sight called KnightRiderLight.com (or something like that) that sells them for like $60+shipping. The thing is, its a pretty simple web site. They require PAYPAL to pay, and so you have to pay in to the paypal account before shipping. I'm a bit WEARY of using a sight that ONLY uses pay-pal, and that has Yahoo(c) as its web host. I don't know. Just seems like it would be easy for anyone to set up a paypal account and say "pay here, we'll ship it" without any kind of guarantee.

Has anyone or does anyone know of someone who A)has done this install, and B)have any good ideas of a place to purchase.

Figured I would ask on here. And again, my Fiance' thinks I'm crazy for wanting to do it, but i think it would be BAD ASS, especially with our LONG DARK winters up here in Alaska. Haha. If I ever get tired of it, its not like i have to use it. Hell, i could take it off and sell it to the next 80's child.

    Any input?

LOL. Yea. It might just be the cabin fever talking, but i think it would be cool to have. If i could make one myself, i totally would. I'm not too electrically inclined. Hooking it up im sure would be no biggy, but actually making one? eh. I dont like classic 80's tv THAT much! haha

well, according to popular opinion, Alaska isnt a state, so i will have to use that in a traffic court of law. haha But seriously, i wasn't aware of that. what a gay law. is it just because emergency lights are blue and RED?

Not sure how it's a gay law. Emergency vehicles have red lights. Pretty simple.

Any use of it on the road and they will nail your ass every time. And likely not be very polite about it.

My sarcasm obviously didn't shine through. haha. I just didn't even think about it being in the same category of "red blue" emergency lights. Hmm... But I wonder if you could do any other color? I will have to look in to it. I still think its a fun idea.

I think you would possibly run into issues with any color. I would look into it before using it on the road. Even white or green or something they could say you're distracting other drivers. Or in your case, maybe the moose will be drawn to it haha.

Haha. Good call about the moose! I figure with being hit 2 times this winter by hit and runs, maybe it wouldn't hurt to invest some exterior lighting. LOL

    Moose hit and run? Lol

I personally wouldn't do the KITT thing (I watched the show as a kid; showing my age). How about a light bar instead? Seems like that would be useful up there.

There was a video here a while ago that I had seen that someone had used a Rigid light bar. Does anyone have the link? Now that shit is bright. it will scare off those moose and maybe those crazy Alaskan women lol.

At least here in California, you could get away with amber lights.

Certainly not my cup of tea, but it's your truck and you're welcome to do anything you want to it as long as it's legal.

Wave "hi" to the Russians for me!

It's your truck... make it your own and do what you want. You'll look back on it in a few years and feel a bit foolish... but go ahead, live for the moment and be an individual. Seriously: As long as it's legal... your truck, your money, your rules.

^ This. Totally agree on that mod. It was a cool way to install low profile lighting and it really did a great job of throwing light. That would actually be useful off road.
