Does anyone know the fuse specific to the switch back-lights? Not the speedo area but the illumination circuit that comes on when you turn on the tails that is just for the switches.
I thought this would be straight forward but I think my job has overworked by brain-cell duo and I just can't muster a good direction on this.

Can anyone toss me a lead? Thanks for any help.

I was afraid of that. that isn't blown but the switch illuminations are still out, would you have any troubleshooting tips? Wonder if I had something come loose.

Did you replace the fuse just to verify?
Have you changed anything in the Head Unit menu that deals with dash illumination?
    "Rheostat" setting?

No luck yet. I swapped the fuse - the existing 'looked' ok but swap is a good rule to follow. The dimmer level is all the way up now but was about mid way before. This is the rheostat in the center gauge cluster is I am following the suggestion properly. Reviewed the truck settings via the HU and it's just for the cluster area - again that's working as expected.
So with those ruled out I suspect it's to get difficult to trace. Any additional suggestions to hunt this down? I am at a loss since the fuse was not the issue.

Didya do any adding to the circuit? Like other switches tied to the original ones circuit?

I was messing with the ECT PWR connector and surely cause it but with that out of the loop I am trying to trace the fault I believe I caused.

Do the door switch lights work?
How about the lights for sun visor?

Visors, dome, HU, steering pads, clusters all good.

Doors, A/C console, and oem switch backlights all bad.

@caribe makaira is better at this than me.
However I believe those are controlled by the body ECU?

Don’t take my word as fact though.

Thanks, that's why I tagged the master ... But great questions and ya never know.

I know it's the illumination circuit but it's just this portion. I have not messed with anything other than what I noted in the thread. I may start tracing some wires back from the ECT plug.

Just to add, it appears that everything else works as expected switch and illumination wise other....just not those backlights

Are you getting power to the 5A panel fuse?

The body ECU send a signal to power to the Tail circuit.
It sends power to the panel fuse.
    Then to the switches.
