    Ok guys, here's what happened

A few weeks ago I installed a train horn (Just a $30 Amazon special, not a big tank or anything). Except I installed it like a lazy asshole so I wired it straight to the horn button with no relay, and blew the 10 fuse. 2 more blown fuses and I finally install it correctly with a relay and an inline fuse. I pull the blown horn fuse and throw it in the trash

I also purchased a BlueTooth OBDII tool, because my girlfriend is car shopping and I want to check the cars out. I plug it into my truck, turn it on, and I have a CEL. I start thinking this OBD thing fried something in my ECU.

I cannot rev above 1.8k or so and when I put it into first, I can only idle down the road. I make it to the next pull off, and get out to reset the battery. No luck, so I try again. Pull over an eighth of a mile down the road, and unplug the battery for about 10 minutes. While I wait I read on the forums and everyone who had this, mentioned their automatic trucks wouldn't shift, and people suggest the ETCS fuse. I don't have an ETCS fuse, and assume it's because I have a manual and the ETCS fuse is like, the Electronic Transmission Control System or something. And the OBD II thing won't connect for me to read the code, but i'm scared to plug it in again anyways

I plug the battery back in and it's still having problems. There's a parking lot not too far, so I decide that's better than the side of the road, and limp over there. The battery is disconnected for about 30 minutes while I post here, call people, text them, etc. Still no luck when I hook the battery back up.

Finally I decide to try the OBDII tool again. Code P2118 Throttle Actuator Control Motor. Fuck, this sounds expensive. I watch a video, and someone says to check the ETCS fuse. I ignore it, because I don't have an automatic. There's no fuse there anyways.

Finally I go through more threads and someone finally spells it out. Electronic Throttle Control Sensor. Oh...

I go out and again, I don't have 1. But the truck has always worked before, what changed?

Wait, why is my horn fuse there? I threw that out... Oh, but it's right near the ETCS fuse, and they're both red 10a...

I threw the ETCS fuse out earlier. Pulled my AC fuse which is also 10a, throw it in the ETCS slot, and I'm good to go.

Thank you so much everyone for trying to help me. I'm so sorry that I'm just an idiot. Mods, feel free to put this thread in the Legends or whatever and give me some idiot title.

Kudos to you. You’re the man to admit your mistake. But you learned, didn’t you?
