    Honestly, I'm polite to pretty much everybody.
    But I don't have much tolerance for people being rude to people in the service industry (waiters, counter help, etc). I've worked enough service jobs where I know how it feels to have somebody being a complete dink just because they're confident that you can't give any of it back (because you like your job, or you at least want/need to keep it). So when it happens in front of me I usually call whoever's doing it out on the fact that they're being an asshole. I try to do it in a humorous, mocking way to turn it around on them and humiliate them, because I'm an asshole like that.
