Hello everyone I'm back in a 2020 Tacoma trd off road 4x4 .So here is a little short story on my journey . I originally bought a 2018 trd off road in a automatic .After 3 months I hated the truck so much I sold it due to horrible shifting ,constant buzzing in steering wheel and pedals. So I bought a 2018 Honda accord 2018 2.0t in a manual transmission . Over all it was a fantastic car .After 6 months of ownership the seat started to become very uncomfortable and giving me medical issues with sciatic pain going down my leg .So after about 1 year I had enough of this Decided to sell it .So I did my research on the new Tacoma's did extensive driving with a auto and the manual transmission .I know what your thinking should of done that in the first place but lesson learned life goes on .So here it is after test driving both I went with the manual transmission Tacoma trd off road 4x4 in a white absolutely love the truck with the upgrades to it. the seat is comfortable with the new all power driver seat , the transmission is smooth and fun to drive in a manual, and the upgraded head unit is fantastic . There is some things u lose going to a manual you don't get blind spot monitoring and no keyless entry which is not much of a lose with the packages offered in my state on a manual there is a option to upgrade stuff .I do have a light in the bed of the truck which is cool . You can still get blind spot monitoring with a manual. Just need the tech package

If you spec'd out the packages, you can get bsm in a manual.

Nice truck! Glad it worked out for you.

I don't think you can get the JBL sound system in a manual, which sucks. (I guess people who use their hands to shift can't appreciate nice music...) At least you couldn't for MY '19.

I replaced the front speakers with Kicker KS 6x9's and it sounds 100% better. (The HU is not bad and puts out a decent amount of power, but the speakers are crap.) Food for thought if you don't like the stock stereo setup.

Few things wrong here, you can indeed get the LED option for the headlights/fogs in a manual spec as well as BSM, I don't think the rear are LED they are just an updated headlamp surrounding. There's only a few things you miss out with the manual spec like Crawl, JBL and used to be proximity keyless entry, not sure if that got added in now. Regardless still a nice truck and congrats!

Thats the ugly new taillight assembly and the lettering were like a port/dealer installed option/accessory.

Ya my dealer had a few chrome, few black on their lot. You should google the new taillights, they took the time to dechrome the grill finally and then added chrome surround in the new tailights...

at first I was unsure about the chrome lettering but its growing on me a little bit .after seeing a side by side from the previous years .Clear lens works well with a white truck .They look better in person than in pictures .maybe down the line ill change my mind . Plenty of aftermarket stuff out there for these trucks .

Ya, I can’t stand my taillights. They remind me of old school altezza style lights which I hate.

Tranny slams are possible with out a vehicle! If you are into that sort of thing.
