I'm checking out this 06 X-Runner tomorrow, what should i look for?

EDIT: This is going to be my first Tacoma, I need a truck for work (construction) and to go dirt biking. I love Toyotas and I have heard so many good things, so I could use a little help in the advice department on my first truck.

 

Just so you know that truck has the front end from a 12-15 Tacoma

 

Just curious, but if you want a truck for construction & dirt biking, why are you looking at an x-runner when they have such low ground clearance?

A standard 2wd 5 lug Tacoma or Prerunner seems better suited for what you say you need it for. I'd just be concerned that an x-runner with such low ground clearance would be an issue. If not then please disregard, it looks like a clean truck from what I can see.

 

heh, figured id see someone copy me eventually. never figured id be an xrunner tho.

but to answer your question, its 10 years old and extremely modified, best to steer clear.

I suggest you find a 4x4 offroad or sport that is in bare bones, stock condition and then modify it to your liking from there. welcome to tw.

 

Huh what exactly is an x- runner good for?
This is the kind of question you should ask yourself before making decisions but if it suit your purpose go for it. To me the x-runner is typically a show truck not a work truck.
