I am in the process of pulling the trigger on a 2019 DCOR. We test drove a 2018 (black) TRD Pro and an Off Road back to back and ultimately could not justify the price difference. No Pro hate here, I love the looks but for my plans it does not make sense. Not to mention that the Off Road we drove was simply a more comfortable drive, The pro was harsh and developed a squeak in the back, which I could maybe blame to an incomplete PDI.

So we narrowed it down to a Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD Off Road (TTDCTRDOR?).
The only gripe I have is the cheap looking grey cloth interior, which I think will also be offered in the 2019. I will be looking into a black Katzkin upgrade.
Other minor change will be a Pro Grill, step bars, a window tint (to match the rears) and Krown rust proofing (I live in Canada)

One issue that has been on my mind is color. We have narrowed it down to 3 options. Quicksand, Cavalry or Cement. My preference order is changing daily and it's driving me nuts. I love it all three and it might boil down to delivery and availability but what do you guys think?

    Sand, Horse or Rock?

If you like all of them equally, I'd leave it to fate and go with whatever is available first. The excitement of the surprise might make you love the color you end up with more than the others.

I'd avoid cavalry if you plan on keeping the truck long term, one of those trendy colors, but then again same could be said about cement and quicksand.

Cement all the way. out of those 3 I think cement is the one that would age the best and wouldn't "get old". I likle QS and Calvary but I think they are too much if you plan on keeping it for a while. The cement is a different color and it stands out and makes it unique but still close enough to silver to be more of a dialy driver.
For me there was no stuggle, I knew I wanted cement or MGM and i've had both now. Cement keeps clean really well too!

Pic of about 3 weeks ago when I got wheels and tires.

Can you get the premium package on the Off Road in Canada that includes leather seats? Down here you can get the leather now as part of the package deal. I'm partial to black but maybe ask yourself 5-10 years from today will your color choice still be the same? Which of the three colors will be more "timeless"? Good luck bro, you'll have a cool truck which ever color you choose!

Obviously Quicksand is the best, but cement is a close second.F528928B-D0AE-4448-9370-250B9D865729.jpg

QS is closest to dirt color so it's the least work to look clean.

Waiting for the voodoo blue pro owners to chime in and claim that voodoo blue will be the one exclusive pro color, as some believe...:poking:

Quicksand looks like baby poop. Cavalry looks washed out. Go with Cement.

I originally went to purchase a cement or quicksand and after seeing the super white I decided against a trendy color as someone mentioned. I love the super white and I went with the premium package to get the leather and after 6 months I’m happy with my choice and would do it again. Good luck!

    Hard call.

Cement and quicksand were my top choices (didn’t even know blue was an option when I bought mine). In the end I went with quicksand because the dealer was able to get one that day whereas the cement would have taken a month.

I don’t think you will be unhappy with any of the choices.

Every week I have someone compliment me on the color of my Taco.
    20180922_121124.jpg

And it never looks dirty even when it is.

    20180911_134024.jpg

It's been at least three weeks since I washed it, could easily go another three.

But our opinion determines if we like your truck which will determine if you’re happy. Better get one of each.
