    Hello,
I have a 2004 Tacoma, 5 speed, 2.4L engine. I use the emergency brake often because I park on an incline. I love this truck and I'll drive it until it falls apart. However, I have one small problem. I'll be driving and my brake light will come on. The reservoir is full of brake fluid and I recently put new shoes and pads and rotors. When the light comes on, all I have to do is push the lever in and the light goes out. I have been searching everywhere trying to find something about the spring for this lever but, can't find anything. I really don't think there's a thing wrong with my brakes, it's just that this light irks me. I have never once taken the truck to the dealer; I do all my own maintenance. It's getting ready to turn 100K miles and I'm sure it'll last a lot longer. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a way to possibly put a new spring in this lever because I think that's the problem; the spring may just be worn out? Thanks and I'll return here often!
