Airbags deployed? Don't be surprised if your Insurance Company call it a total. Glad you weren't hurt.

I have pretty thick skin, I wouldn’t of been offended. I still think you’re overdoing it, the second comment was provoked by you and directed at you.

op made a dumb choice by driving tired and overdoing it. Could of had real consequences, bishop pointed that out. You said it was uncalled for, however everything bishop said was true.

if op would of posted that he was drunk driving and bishop responded the same way would you have banned him?

Im fortunate and grateful it only involved me. I work at a hospital and I dislike when the traumas are no fault of their own.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Glad to know that you're okay and no one else was involved.
I won't be quite as blunt. I had a similar experience at 17 in my first car. Fell asleep, went off the road (almost did a barrel roll), and landed in a small brook. It was the night before my Aunt's wedding - Mom & Dad were NOT pleased to get the call at 2 am. Had to go to a DMV hearing to retain my license. The officer made a good point: "A sleeping driver is much worse than a drunk driver - at least a drunk has some control whereas I had none." A legitimate point that I came to recognize. I retained my license, but at a wicked cost when it came to getting insurance afterward as I was dropped from my parent's policy. I get paranoid now whenever I experience heavy eyelids.

    Damn totaled for sure.

Good luck finding a new one since dealerships are still lacking new inventory.

Ouch. Glad you were able to walk outta that. For sure the truck is totaled. Hopefully you’re safer next time so there’s no more “next time” again if that makes sense…

As for the other stuff going on in this thread :anonymous: y’all need to chill a little.

He was just asking if we thought his truck was totaled and told us what happened.
    Have a good evening.

my dad used to fall asleep at the wheel all the time. You had to poke him and prod him...he would grumble about resting his eyes or some shit...

Good thing we have airbags now...You can live to drive another day.

I would add to that have respect for posters, especially fairly new ones, who have just had an accident or a major problem with their truck and resist the temptation to immediately trash the OP in some way. I see that far too often here.

Putting someone down for no good reason may make you feel better about yourself for a moment but in the end you’re just being an ahole and your man part hasn’t grown an inch. I know this for a fact ‘cause I just trashed you trashers and nope, no change lol.

Do you know op’s circumstances? I’ve been working overnights now for 4 years. You never get fully used to it. I’ve always been more of a night person than a morning person. That being said there’s some times when I leave work that I feel fine. But getting within a few miles from the house on backroads you start dozing off. Even if you’re doing everything to try and stay awake. Usually it’s just for a second or two. But that really is all it takes for something bad to happen. Obviously if I felt I was completely unable to drive I wouldn’t. But knowing you have obligations at home, and need to hurry up get home. Then muster up as much sleep as you can because you have a short turn around to come back and do it all over again, you just don’t have many options.

Update: its totalled. I do not know how much I'll be getting back as of yet. Sucks because it's my first taco.

Ill be looking for a used 4x4 off road. I dont need a new one, but it was a good deal and they had it right there with 2 miles on the odometer.

I’ve been looking for a 3rd gen TRD OR and trust me it’s cheaper to get a new one. Crazy times.
