Dents in all panels, dents in bumpers, 3d $69 paint job, now has matching tires, all brand badges shaved (or lost, it has been painted three times now), spiderwebs removed from engine bay
:)'Sup!? I like this forum, it's already helped me with a few tech/ repair issues, so I figured I'd join up.

I am now the delighted semi-owner of a nice little '95 Tacoma:taco:, recently removed from it's previous owner by a family intervention due to the previous owners proclivity at driving while drinking, (or vice-versa). Truck had been living in Texas, now it's here with me in California.

When another family member was driving it the day it arrived here, the front left tire lost it's tread at 70mph and beat the snot out of the fender, tore out the plastic fender liner, knocked out the left corner marker light, shredded the wiring going to the turn signal and marker, bent the bumper end down about 3 inches, and wrapped steel belt wires around various frame parts before the tread finally let go and flew out into the freeway lanes. Tire did not blow out however and driver made it off the freeway. When looking at the damage the next morning, I noticed that all the tires were in various states of old, cracked, dried out, worn down used tires, and all five of which were different brands and sizes.

So, my first task is putting this little truck back together. This forum should help alot, methinks...

I have purchased new tires, bought the marker light and fender well piece on ebay, next I will start recreating the wiring to the turn signal. Maybe junkyard parts are needed...

It has a check engine light on as well, I also just bought a ScanGuage to see what's up with that. I checked, truck does have an OBDII port under the dash.

I think it needs spark plugs and wires replaced.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here! Thanks in advance for your help with my questions. I promise I will search the forum first before asking stuff...

Thanks! Glad to be here! I am so glad I scored the awsome #19155! I was afraid I'd get 17 or 310,652, or something like that...

BTW, that cherry fluff recipe is going home with me tonight!
