I'm in. Does my perfect truck exist?

Hello awesome people! I have decided there is no other choice for me but to own a MT Tacoma. My question is does my perfect truck exist? DCLB MT.

I have done some searching and have not been able to find any. The forum searches I have done make it seem like they exist, but one forum comment said they do not. The Toyota website says they do exist with he exception of the Pro because it only comes in SB. I'm less concerned with trim and color. I recently bought an RCF and love it but can't imagine living without three pedals...So the ram has to go. I use it for hauling kids, camping trips, vacations, winter, yard work and hauling my motorcycles occasionally. Maybe I don't need a 6 foot bed but that's all I know. I can't wait to be a part of the community and I'll be trolling the For Sale section until something comes up.

Welcome to TW! Unfortunately your perfect truck does not exist sir.

 

The hard part will be finding a dealer that is willing to find one for you.
Most would rather sell you one on the lot. Or one they already have allotted to their dealership.

 

There’s never been a double cab 6 foot box manual unfortunately.

 

Edit: Toyota has never made a DCLB Tacoma with a Manual transmission.

There are a few 1st and 2nd Gens that have been converted.
The 3rd gen would be an absolute electrical ECU PCM nightmare.

 

Your perfect truck is out there, I know because I found mine, just be patient and look around, stop in at different dealerships and talk. Use the internet and search. Good luck.

Have you seen a Double Cab Long Bed in MT?

Why would they make them in auto but not manual?

 

Im not sure what I'm looking at but there are no manuals on the list? Is that some sort of dealer lookup sheet?

No such thing as DCLB with a MT, Toyota will not make it. I've tried. Save your searching.

 

Next gen Ranger could get a long bed 4dr manual option. 6' bed is only available on access cab Tacoma, manual is only available on Sport with a 6' bed. I doubt if 4th gen Tacoma will be available with anything other than a short bed.

My bad, not with a double cab. You can go access cab with a 6 ft bed, or if you need a double cab it’s going to be a 5ft bed, at least you can still get a manual transmission.

I considered the DCLB for a few minutes until I realized that there was no LB with MT. It then became a very easy call.
I was happy I had one less choice to make!
I'm happy to report that the 5' bed works quite well.
