I'm in Love

I know it's insane but you all get it. I was still nutz over my 2004 Tundra SR5 Double Cab. The dealership gave me $8k trade in on this Tacoma. 190,000 miles and no mechanical issues. Great truck.

We surely get it. EVERYBODY I know sees window sticker of my 2021 DCLB OR, and goes "Why didn't you get a Tesla"

All depends on needs, not wants, when business is involved.

I thought I should phrase that differently. I bought the Tacoma to celebrate my retirement from my second - and last - career. I retired as president of a small college last year. My first career was as an Army officer - retired after 26 years on active duty and then went into higher education.

 

LOVING it 3100 miles already. Installing back seat covers today. What a beautiful sexy truck

It really is a love - you look at the truck and it just captures you. I have the same feeling with my '96 BMW Z3 - bought it new and still smile every time I walk into the garage and see it...just like the Tacoma.

My best friend had a new Dakar Yellow S52 M coupe. It was the non sunroof one. I remember going to buy it with him. The clown shoe was gorgeous. The deep dish rear wheels, the quad pipes, the gorgeous dials ahead of the shifter. Man it was a beast. I mean its no S54, but it scoots.

he had gotten a promotion, and bough a Z8. At that time, no one wanted them. Sat on dealer lots for ever. he still has it. Blood red interior. Of coruse now they are so valuable.

 

You have an absolutely gorgeous truck!! I'm just happy I get to lead you down the mod path.

I said to a friend the other day "man devious got this. I really need to buy it. Devious has such a nice truck."

She looks at me and goes "WHO THE HELL IS DEVIOUS"

LOL - i said with a straight face "THE DEVIL"

 

My screen name was my fixed radio call sign when I commanded and Army battalion. Devious designated the unit - the 101st Military Intelligence Battalion - and 6 is the fixed designation for the unit commander. Nothing more devilish than that.
