    It was $1,477.74 in June 2024 by a local mechanic I've been using for years. Cheaper than the dealer, but not cheap.

    Some sensors may show signs of premature intermittent failure but your kinda just chasing rabbits if you try to predict failure. I would never buy a pile of expensive sensors unless I was headed to a very very remote area.

    Thanks for the advice. I agree with you, and I'm not planning to just start changed stuff at random. I recently saw a YouTube video that's 7 months old, and the mechanic (or mechanic-looking guy) in the video suggested changing the mass air sensor & coolant sensor as these parts tend to fail in the 1st gens, and can really screw things up. I was hoping to get some validation of this suggestion or suggestions on other parts that are likely to fail and leave me stranded. If it's some random sensor that'll make my check engine light up, but not affect drivability, I'm not too concerned about it. I've got a code reader in the truck so I can check stuff out.
