where are you located? You need to find another PDR guy. That really isn’t that bad. Like I said, it may not be perfect, but it won’t be noticeable. If you are in SoCal, I have a guy that could get it damn near perfect if he is still doing it. I haven’t used him in years, but this is the guy dealerships call when no one else can fix it. I have literally had multiple guys tell me it was impossible only for him to come and make it perfect.

When I had my FRS, the dealer’s alarm guy put a dent in my A pillar. They called two guys out and both said it would need to be bondo’d and repainted. PDR wouldn’t work. Well he comes out, and I saw him and started laughing. Sure enough, he fixed it perfectly.

3 in lift and a lot of wax, but never enough to prevent people from hitting my car :(
Maybe I’ll look around more then and see if anyone can fix it up

From personal experience of myself and other people causing damage to my Tacoma in which I have spent countless hours of my life maintaining and taking care of. It hurts, especially more when it's not your own doing. but from experience the best way to go about it is to quit thinking so hard, because it will eat you alive, and immediately get it fixed by a body shop or buy a fender OEM even used OEM is better than eBay fenders in my mind.
Have the body shop paint it, then you or the body shop install it. For me I can do the work but I always paid a "TRUSTED" body shop to just TAKE CARE OF IT so I did not have to mentally suffer from seeing the damage anymore until it was fixed. I will admit I am attached to my truck through memories in my life, but I know at the end of the day it's just transportation and nothing lasts forever

If that dent was a result of your driving then I would just let it be. What if you fix it and you do it again. Fenders are cheap enough but it's the paining cost that will get you. If it's a 2001 you should be able to find 1 at the junkyard.. have you thought about removing both of them and replacing them with black 1's

Maybe call around to some salvage yards or check out eBay for some replacement fenders? I imagine the matching color wouldn't be that hard to find. There has to be a wrecked Taco or something with a good fender around.

A good paintless dent guy would knock that out and you would never know it happened.

Do you think that the paint would match up nice?

Yeah, provided it is factory paint of course. Even minor blemishes and things can be worked out by a good detailer. If not, you can always turn around and sell that piece.

Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. Buy an aftermarket fender or go to a junk yard and pull one, Drop it off at a local body shop. Can’t be any more than a few $100 duckers. I use to be like that. Washing and waxing my truck till I started using it for off-roading, overlanding. Now I’m not so ocd about it. I do need to have my hood and roof repainted due to the paint fading. It’ll happen when it happens.

Yah I’m probably gonna do that, I’ve already found one for 300, once I get enough money I’m gonna buy it

Definitely two distinct schools of thought here. Folks like you who look at these trucks as point A/point B appliances. And old. Couldn't care less about appearance, much less symmetry.
Then there are those of us who use our trucks as trucks, yet want symmetry and stand-out great appearance at the same time, especially with our old trucks.
Maybe because guys like us know what we actually have as owners of CLEAN 1st-gen Tacos. These trucks fall into a class with the older Land Cruisers, FJs, etc. Clean, straight ones are getting rare and anyone who spots one holds them in some higher regard than any other run of the mill Ford or Chebbie. Even Nissans are a joke in comparison.
So...naw, I don't buy your dismissive attitude towards the OP because he gives a shit about his truck a ton more than you.

Don't stress over it. Someone hit my '18 Tacoma Silver Sky Metallic fender flare with their door right after I got it. Took it to my body shop, cost $191 for an undetectable repair, paint matched perfectly.
