    What others have said. A trip that may have an end destination in mind, but usually is focused on the trip itself.

    As others have pointed out, social media has kinda run it into the ground (with myself being one of thousands of perpetrators...) and turned it into yet another consumeristic dick measuring contest.

    "Overland_Memes" on instagram is a hilarious examination of this new trend. Causes a lot of butthurt, but is honestly 99% true.
