I'm sure this would never happen at a Tacoma event

Daytona truck fest. Every year started as Facebook group and evolved into some type of " semi official event" but it's moving to Homestead Raceway in south Florida. If it's a truck then it's there... That includes Tacos.

    From local newspaper recently:
    "A history of mayhem
In its eight years in Daytona Beach, the gathering of monster trucks and the people who love them had developed a reputation as an unwelcome annual event that turned city neighborhoods into war zones beset by roaring engines, ear-splitting train horns, smoke-belching exhaust systems and objectionable behavior by attendees that treated the city like an open-air toilet and trash can."

I dunno, we can be pretty harsh on each others builds, make it face to face, and add liquor to the mix? I can see things going awry.

Feel terrible for the locals and the first responders. Hopefully they get it canceled next year.

    None... yet.
Not to get too political, but I have a lot of family that mock/hate the "pickup" crowd. I have a hard time arguing against them when this type of trash makes the news. As with so much else, it only takes a few rotten apples to spoil the bunch...

This event is known as “Go Topless Weekend” or at least used to be. It was initially Jeeps only and at that time was pretty civil because it was just Jeep owners hanging out and talking about their Jeeps. Then every tard with wheels started to show up and the shitshow started and each year it has only gotten worse. That includes every brand of truck under the sun and there are plenty of Tacomas included in there. It is now an absolutely terrible event filled with chaos and havoc. They need to find a way to keep the whole thing from happening.

this wouldn’t happen at a “Tacoma” event, but it also never happened when this was a “Jeep” event. It’s no longer a Jeep event, but it used to be and they keep calling it that now even though it isn’t.

In OC MD they have cracked down in what I think was H20 fest. It really doesn't matter what types of vehicles people drive at these events. It's the mob mentality, and it's a party so anything goes. Stunt driving on public roads or private property that does not belong to you. Flash mobs of teens crashing the local mall. Senior week in vaction towns. It's the same thing when people who generally don't mean any harm, get together to have a good time and lose self control coupled by a sense of entitlement. You see the same behavior at protests all over the world.
