Black is my first choice but frightening, in terms of maintenance and longevity.

Second choice is magnetic gray followed by cement.

    Change my mind.

Better off getting a lighter color and wrapping/dipping to black.

Dark Colors are harder if not impossible to keep clean. Although, I do like the Magnetic Grey. had I been able to get one in the model and tranny i wanted I would have.

I've had black cars, if you get bothered by a car that looks dirty get ready to wash at least weekly or buy a different color. My personal favorite in the 3rd gen is quicksand and if I were buying new that's what I would get.

IMG_20180429_150530889_HDR.jpg My '15 was black. Your life will become a never ending spiral of misery as you try to remove swirls and fine scratches.

I went with Cement this time, I love it. Plus, this time of year my black Tacoma was always green, the Cement truck still looks like Cement, even with a coat of pollen.

I love the look of perfect black paint, problem is it never stays that way.

I had a black second gen. Ever single scratch was extremely visible. I had dozens of light pen stripes down the side from wheeling that I couldn’t get out. Black is pure gorgeous when it’s clean. But impossible to keep clean. Lol.
Cement will be similar. Especially since it’s a flatter color.
My third gen is white. Love it. I’ve drug it across branches and you can’t tell at all. It hides the scratches and day to day dust / dirt way better than black.
In the end, who friggin cares what others say. If you like black, and want black, get it. If you like plain chocolate ice cream, and want to eat plain chocolate ice cream, I think you’re weird, but get it cause it’s what you want.

This is the reason I chose silver. I had a black truck when I was younger, and the pin stripes down the side drove me insane. My teenage brain got to the worst of me and I used sharpie... it made it worse. I don't plan on ever owning a black truck again after that.

There's nothing that looks better than a black Tacoma! I'm on my second one and wouldn't want any other color!

So someone could change my mind. I'm a clean freak. Pinstripes would have mentally killed me.

Black is a bad color here in NM.
But, buying a 3rd gen is worse. Get a used 14 or 15 2nd gen or if thats not an option buy an any year 4runner. If thats not a option buy a Ford or Dodge.
