I'm too tall for my 2011 Tacoma double cab seats.

I'm only 6' and I am about 1/2" from hitting the headliner in my truck. Big bumps bounce me off the roof. I also frequently hit my head entering the truck so the OP is not the only one. I would love to lower my OEM seat at least an inch. I got the IMMRYO rearview mirror raised bracket as soon as I bought the truck for a better view. Maybe the 2016 Tacomas will have vertical adjustments?

I don't see how his post garnered a STFU.

To offer some relevance to your thread. First off, did you sit in it before you purchased? The reason I ask is that things you don't like you tend to grow to hate. I'm 5'9" so I fit in everything. The only option is find a thinner seat or remove some vertebrae.

OP got butt hurt quick fast and in a hurry.

I don't see how this became a problem either. I am 6'5 and if I don't fit in something comfortably I am not going to buy it and either A) make myself fit or B) hope and pray if fixes it self.

To each their own, guess some people want something so bad they will buy it regardless of its comfort level. Actually saying that reminds me of women who buy uncomfortable "cute" shoes...

My wife still buys prebaby pants sizes and complains they made them wrong. Lol. I just bite my tongue and go to my quiet place.

I really want to say, you got bigger, they are making the pants smaller. I don't for fear of lumpy couch syndrome.

Upside is she went from c cup to d so motorboats. Bbbbllllllmmmmrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnffffffttttt.

I'm 6'8" and fit in the Tacoma better than most other vehicles. Have to be careful hitting my head when getting in. Actually sat in a 2005 tundra when I bought mine and had less room than the Tacoma. One reason I went with the Tacoma at the time.

You're built like my brother. He's 5'11" but if his legs were in proportion with his torso he'd be about 6'8".

I realized it when he was in town and we sat next to each other at lunch. Seated, he towered over me. Standing, he's just a little taller. Michael Phelps is built like that too.

That's all I have, good luck with your seats.

Milf 2015. No skinny broads, like riding a road bike over railroad tracks. Consensus is you should fit into a vehicle before you buy it. OP: STFU. Buy a gm, they fit big guys fine.

On a serious note the clearance on tacoma seats is already pretty low profile, any more of a drop and your seat is going to be sitting on the floor.

And any of the aftermarket options are not going to be airbag compatible unless you ask some of the guys who installed aftermarket seats in 2nd gens that have side seat airbags....apparently there are ways around it. not a route I want to take. And to be honest I don't really see how an aftermarket seat is going to sit any lower than a custom seat bracket job.

Maybe ask a shop to remove some cushion in your seat and just let your rear end take a beating when you go over any rough terrain/road?

Or ass first into vehicle and slide head down and up under door frame.

Moral: spend some time behind the wheel before you purchase. And you can never go wrong with Salam Hayek spec newbies.

Things my dad never taught me. (Selma was quite young then so possibly against the law to ogle, fondle or consider them as options)

If I hit my head getting into my truck during the test drive I would have considered it a sign.

Lifting the truck solved that problem. :)

Dude that is uncalled for! Also this is a Tacoma website. I will say you are always welcome to stay and contribute or well you know there is always the option of ignoring this tread.

To the OP I would try maybe getting aftermarket seats or there is always the option of a tundra if you really want one.

Really? Two new members, with 9 and 28 Posts respectively, are name calling a guy who's been here for a while with 3k and you're labelling him a troll?

If you are too tall for the truck, you would have found out so during a test drive, prior to buying the truck. Was his response, blunt?, simple, and pretty much obvious thing to look for when buying a vehicle? Yea, it was. Your reaction, name calling, and obvious sudden temper is rather uncalled for and childish. "Making the website worse" Would be tough to understand since you've been here oh, 2 months, since november? I'm sure you really understand this 'website' to the T.

I'm also posting this after reading page 1. Not looking to read the rest. Hope you boys get the boot from here. Go back to the facebook page.
