Why not? You're only in classes 15 hours a week, maybe another 15 for homework and it's not like the guy is going to have to work at the front desk in his dorm for pocket money.

Seriously though, I don't like the guy's music but I'll give credit where it's due: he has a lot of money and he's calling the shots, so he could surround himself with anyone he wants, management/entourage-wise. He seems to have surrounded himself with people who will help him keep his career on track and help keep his hobbies mostly cars and other reasonably healthy items. So even with all the fame and cash, at his core he seems fairly grounded. Given how Hollywood works he's actually managing to hold himself to a decent standard; he could easily have gone the Lindsay Lohan route. It's possible he still could. Teenagers are not supposed to have that much power over their own lives, they often can't handle it. But for now he seems to be doing better than a lot of child stars.

Also, the little punk crap he does and the corny music and teen hearthrob semi-girlish looks are an image that is carefully crafted to make money. And it works. If I could make that much money by brushing my hair differently and looking a little funny, why not? I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

nowadays it seems the young generation has been indoctrinated to ask: "how can I get some of that wealth from the rich guy?" (many only want to vote for it)

class envy. nothing less. and you are going to hear a lot about it between now and November.
