Different set up on the first gens. If you want the alignment right, then you will need different UCA's.

It can be "in spec." , but that means your Camber is going to be at its outter limits, and you will have no caster, or very very little. I said this in another post, but "We got it in spec." means, "We got your Camber at .9* (or worse), and your Caster at .3* (or worse), and we are happy to take your money, and send you on your way! Thank you, and be sure to see us again when your tires are worn to shit in 10k miles! :) "

It varies on how they did the alignment (is camber .9*, or .5*...), and how you drive. Check the outside tire wear, and compare it to the inside wear. They should be close to the same. Without being able to see the printout of the alignment, its hard to guess what they did exactly.

His opinion is you don't need UCA's

Hold on chris, I have put 30K on my KM1's and they are wearing even with lots of life left. The guy that did my alignment has 30 years experience and said if were his truck he would not buy aftermarket uca's.

Thats an awful lot of Camber. You should be around .4* or less.

Everyone has a different view. If your truck is driving fine, and tires are wearing fine, then leave it be. Most have Caster issues, as a 2.
to 3" lift leaves very little Caster left in the geometry. Between .5* and -.1*. Less Caster can lead to wandering (the truck, not you). Mostly felt in an area with poor roads, or a large road Crown, or off roading.

Yeah, its a large bill to swallow, BUT, Its worth it. You never hear of anyone regretting the purchase of their aftermarket UCA's.
