When mine finally arrived on the lot you would've thought a UFO had just touched down. Every salesman in the building was swarmed all over it. I had to wait two day before I could pick it up, me not the dealer, and when I showed up they said no less than 15 had already tried to buy it.

I don’t see a point in a 5 foot bed in my opinion. That’s basically a glorified SUV. I have a tough time fitting some things in my 6 foot bed, I can’t image another foot shorter. Can you even fit golf clubs or groceries in a 5 footer?

Nice. I bought mine in Massachusetts used and they didn’t come down a single penny on price. Truck was exactly 1 years old. I love my access cab.

But what's the point of having a HC bumper if your bed trailer doesn't have one too?

Depending on your needs five foot beds are okay. For myself it probably suited my purposes 95 percent of the time.

It was those few times that I was having issues loading or securing cargo due to the short bed that had me wishing for a six foot bed. That extra foot makes a lot of difference in how much more things you can fit back there.

But you can fit a lot of things on the five foot bed with the tailgate down, resting things on the tailgate while it's up, etc. I don't golf so don't know much about the size of golf clubs. But if golf clubs can fit in a car trunk they should at least fit in a five foot bed diagonally.

You're in GST. Go to your local Dealership and straight to the Fleet MGR...by-passing all other redirects and "I can help you". He or she will tell you every one in the 5 State area and what's coming in. They will get it for you too.

I think it's the opposite in the whole state of California lmao. A shop in El Monte has a YouTube channel, in which 60-70% of their customers are long bed owners.

The point of a 5' bed is shorter wheel base which we all know is better for wheeling..flat out. Some of us don't need a 6' bed because their Tacoma may just be a toy for playing and off roading and camping etc. Or like myself I have another truck that does all of the working and hauling. My wife likes the 5' bed because it's a bit easier to get around town in and getting in and out of parking spaces is a little easier as well. Fact..majority of the tacomas out there are short beds. Love my glorified SUV :thumbsup:20190111_151355.jpg

All true. However for many of us that don’t 4wheel and want a truck, but don’t want a full size, the DCLB is the sweet spot. I’d still argue however for those that do wheel, an AC is still way cooler than a DCSB. ;)

    Sup ladies.

My subaru (that I dumped my turd gen for) and I agree.

I think the guys with the long beds area actually using it like trucks more often than the ones with the shortbeds. There are so many pavement princesses with these fancy 4x4 Off-road/Sport models that have to find ways to exercise their 4wd.

OP was commenting about AC not DCLB. AC and DCSB have the same wheel base. These always turn into DCLB love fests. And that's OK.
