Looks like my 19 OR is included in this as the DZ5BN matches my VIN also.

I'm actually taking the truck in for the 2 year service tomorrow.....do you think I can just call and tell them about the hesitation and see if they'll do the flash as well?

Every 2019 AT is applicable to this TSB. None were delivered with 04B33.

Roughly half of the 2020 ATs are applicable as some came from the factory with 04B81.

I just called in. Told them my truck has been hesitating and gear hunting and I was aware of the TSB and that my VIN # is listed.

The service rep told me they'll need to diagnose that I am actually having these issues on my truck which will take 4 additional hours (lol) in order to confirm if I qualify for the TSB.

They can probably drive the truck up and down the street and see that it's gear hunting in 2 minutes so we'll see how it goes.

    Will keep everyone posted!

My 2020 shipped with 04B81 and I’m not happy. Just don’t want people to think the TSB if applicable will be a magic fix.

Might not be a magic fix but it’ll be better than what it’s like now hopefully!

Ok just got the truck back and they actually did the TSB! It's the T-SB-0092-20 to be exact.

First impressions on the drive home, going maybe 40 max and stopping/starting at some stoplights-

The truck definitely has better pick up starting at zero and does not start hunting for gears right away. At lower speeds the shifting feels much smoother than before. Oddly enough I spun the tires taking a right turn at the light, but we are getting our first rains of the season up here in Nor Cal so I think the roads just might've been slick as that never usually happens to me.

There is definitely still a bit of a delay when you punch it, but some have said the fuel pump relay fix helps with that which I haven't gotten yet.

Will report back once I get on the freeway and see how it drives.

TLDR; tell Toyota you're experiencing shifting delays and they just might do the TSB for ya!

The specific verbiage on my service report reads: "Customer states vehicle has a delay when shifting gears check and advise." Then their remarks say: "I drove and confirmed the issues the customer is concerned with. I found T-SB-0092-20 and performed the re flash as pe the ti. I then re drove and shift feeling is better."

    Happy Friday!

I had this TSB done on friday,2020 OR DCSB,build date 11/19.In Canada it is called T-TCI-5380.I have not done any highway driving yet,but around town she feels a lot more peppy. The gas pedal feels much more responsive, not near as much pedal required to get up to my around town speeds.Hopefully it isnt just going through the "learning process"

Just did about 3 hours of highway driving. The truck definitely holds gears for much longer. Usually around 70-80MPH I would be jumping all over the place but not anymore.

I just had this TSB completed this morning during my 15k service. I drove roughly 30 miles home and I did not notice the usual gear hunting when at highway speeds. Hopefully this keeps and doesn't change as the computer learns my driving habits again.

So... For everyone who has also had this done, have you driven much with ECT on?

Honestly I don't have a need for it anymore. It drive now like it would with ECT on, with the added benefit of better shift tables / not rushing to 6th gear.

I've also noticed that my fuel economy is a bit worse than it was before.

I haven't felt the need to use ECT since getting this TSB done. With that said I am only on day #3 since having it completed.

Same. It feels like a hybrid of ECT + update/smarter shift logic.

I'm going to drive around for a bit with ECT on and see what the difference is there.

Anyone who doesn't have this TSB 100% needs to go to it. I was considering OVtune before, but now? Not at all. Night and day difference.

Totally agree with the above. I used to drive with ECT on a lot of the time but now I feel absolutely no need.

Haven't checked fuel economy but will take a look.

There is definitely still a hesitation when I punch the throttle, hoping the fuel pump relay will alleviate some of that though.

Have you had the pump recall done?

Mine is getting done tomorrow, will report afterwards. I'll grab a relay while I'm at it, they are under 20$

I have not gotten it done yet. My local toyota dealer says they aren't doing them for my truck model yet. Looking forward to hearing your results.

Not sure how far north you are, but Roseville Toyota has them in stock and can get it done in 3-4 hours.

When I was in Idaho last week they said it was a 2-3 week wait for parts.
