Either early spring before the black flies or later in the summer like this time of year. Earlier will be some rough roads, but that could add some fun to the trip

Maybe. I feel like the next couple years for trips are going to be nuts. I still have to go on a real honey moon at some point

I would love to take 3 weeks off work, and make a stab at driving to alaska... so far as I can tell it would easily be 5000miles one way, and well $1400 in gas alone (round trip).. 79 hours straight driving, and probably a needed oil change in there somewhere... thats roughly a week driving 12hours a day.... almost be cheaper to pack my truck, and have it shipped to say Washington state, and fly out there.... especialy if you add in any hotel room stays, and food.

I don't know how the access is for wheeled vehicles, but when I snowmobile up there I can get gas in Estcourt without crossing the border. And don't plan on crossing the border there anytime outside of 9-5 on weekdays, it's closed. It's really only there for logging trucks during the week.

Thats true, technically that gas station is in the US. Not sure exactly what the protocol is though, if its cool to drive through the woods or not :notsure:

    Probably no one cares

Yeah, obviously on sleds it is all in the woods, but I wouldn't doubt that there are gates closed in the summer. Also, just like the border crossing, that gas station is like 10am to 5pm Mon-Fri only.
