I have two or three of those 6$ Bundles stored in a few spots. Sometimes it's easier to just tie a knot than mess with unraveling those ratchets. Shot out to @MESO for giving me a spot for paracord

If anyone is interested in these tie downs... BAM Wholesale Parts has them cheaper.

I really don’t care for the tackticool, paramilitary look at all. Having said that, I like the storage solution. Certainly my dog would still have enough headroom. I’m going to investigate that option.

I'm not into military stuff in the slightest, either. But it's hard to argue the organization. My glove box has a microfiber in it, that's it.

I love the innovation for your personal use. The improvement on an existing idea will always be met with disdain....but that forward thinking can also be met with "Good Idea" Go With Your Gut!

Sure thing retard...so like I said I can't recall wtf the screws were when I out on the front bed rail but the cleat was sure as shit popping when I my buddy was tightening the tie downs.
The oem D-rings at the front of the bed are stronger than the plastic cleats, and the bed mount bolts are bullet proof.

Never. I have had plenty of heavy stuff in my truck and have only used the cleats or d-rings. Had my 08’ since 07’ and now a 19’.

The key is limiting movement. Without movement, it doesn't matter how heavy the item you are securing.

It's the impulse of the force shifting that could cause the bolts on the rail to fail.

The straps I use aren't really ratchet straps, they have a one way thing that releases, so they don't get real tight. I've heard the bed rails and cleats are rated at 250 lbs. does anyone know?

I think the cleats are stamped either 200lbs. or 250lbs. max

Edit: maximum load of 220 pounds (110 pounds apiece).
