You could have tried a sway bar from a TRD sport.... lord knows there's enough people taking them off

Just keep in mind the sway bars will limit your rear travel to minimal and seriously tear stuff up if you go mildly off road like anything bigger than a speed bump at the mall.

True that. I’ll either disconnect swaybars or more likely use my crawler for crawling. :D

You might play around with tire pressure. I just got new tires and the shop set the psi at 29 (which is on the door sticker). I like the handling better at 34 psi.

Thank you @St.Germain for the reviews on the HellWig sway bars in this post and others. Your information help me decide to install them. I'm still getting the "feeling" of the new bars and haven't pushed them to the limit. My initial impression is that the front bar is really great. Very stiff and a significant upgrade from the stock OR bar. I like it a lot. I drove for a few days with just the Hellwig front bar and no rear bar. Body roll was significantly reduced. I'm sure I had major under steer in this configuration. I put on the rear bar and frankly, I couldn't even notice the difference with or without the rear bar under normal driving. Felt just like only having the Hellwig front bar. I think the rear bar is a little light for my taste even though I have it set on the stiffest setting. It is pretty small diameter bar for a heavy vehicle. Hellwig probably designed the bars to maintain some under steer for safety (not a bad thing). I will do some additional testing and might keep my eye out for stiffer rear bar. I'm very familiar with big sway bars on heavy cars, but not on trucks, so I'm learning as I go.

Overall, I love the HellWig sway bars on the Tacoma. Much better fun factor to drive and more stable and better turning.

I just went out and over drove my Taco a bit. Towards the limit, it performs really well in a turn. Almost like the rear bar comes into action under hard cornering. I mentioned in my previous post that the rear HellWig bar is pretty light weight. Now, I'm not sure that is the case. I need to do some more doughnuts for additional testing. :D It might be alright after all.
