im guessing somethings wet under there. i would think that in order to shut it off youd have to remove an actuator probably. id try disconnecting the actuators plug at the transfer case and spray some wd 40 into it to help dry it out. it may dry on its own since its nice out today. might wanna check the fuse for that also in case something shorted...good luck sorry im not a lot of help

um, stick it in neutral like the manual says, make sure your foot is on the brake, no e brake and then take it out of 4l. Try rolling forward a bit, brake, then go neutral again and re-try.

Sounds like you need to seize the carp and go drive up a mountain. Look at this as a good thing. It wants to be driven.

    Thanks guys!!!
I didnt get the tranny wet and it beeps when the dial is in 2hi and 4hi not in 4low but the truck is stuck in 4low still I'm going to look for some plugs on the transfer case maybe for an actuator and unplug them for awhile and keep trying until tow time...SUCKS

My 2009 got stuck in 4low yesterday. Blinking light and beep. I kept rocking it back and forth and hitting the brakes and then stopping and trying the switch took a few mins but finally disengaged.

blinking light and noise means its not engaged.

    to engage 4lo:
put truck in neutral, select 4lo, put truck in drive.

use this same order to disengage 4lo:
put truck in neutral, select 2hi, put truck in drive.

Also what Whiskey said.. if it's flashing and beeping while your switch is in 4lo, then it's now in 4lo.
Edit: read above.. so it's in 4lo and engage if it's not beeping with the switch there.

    Auto or manual?
if it's a stick, have the switch in 4lo, put in neutral, press the clutch completely to the floor, switch to 4hi, drive a few feet, if it goes in 4hi, then do the same for 2.

    That's the steps I take

It could be that driveline is wound up. Ive never done this, but maybe try jacking up each wheel until its off the ground, then lower it. After youre done with all 4, then do the rolling it foward and backward in neutral thing.

Are the lot and boat ramp paved?

So I went the next morning and took my time opened the book did the whole neutral brake thing took deep breathes and it came out of four wheel.
I've always just turned the four wheel knob at a stand still and its worked,(the neutral step I think was overlooked)

Should of opened the book right away instead of running to to the forum lesson learned.
Appreciate everyones speedy responses and all the input!!!!:D

I was in 4 hi yesterday and move it into 2 wheel like I normally do. The light stayed on. I had to engage into 4 low then back into 4 hi, then it allowed me it disengage 4 wheel drive. Weird moment, hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Hey Duke, had the same thing happen to me yesterday while I was coyote hunting. I had just driven slowly though a rough snowy corn field. I was stuck in 4H, did the same thing you did and it went out and worked ok the rest of the day. Have you had it happen again?

Random question OP, when was the last time you used 4wd? I engage mine pretty often and it goes in and out smoothly. I know you are supposed to engage it every month or so to keep everything lubed up.
