Think it'd be tough to get the carpet tight around the letters, but I've never tried though. If it does get lost a bit, it'd still be a nice little subtle mod.

Either of these logos would look cool, imo

Well that would work as a stick on logo. But too much detail for a raised logo under the fabric.

I've also been looking up more ideas for an overhead console. Want to build something kinda similar to this. But integrated into a shelf system as well. To hold my cb, as well as a lower hanging part that will support a ~7" tablet. To be used for maps/gps/music app/ and the torque app.

Man you are truly making progress. It's good to see. Would be afraid that the tablet hanging down like that would block my vision out front.

I've got a single cab, so there isn't much space. But I've been thinking about adding some bungee pockets behind the seats. Anyone try this?

Yeah it's not gonna be as extensive as the one I pictured above. Just something to hold the cb, and a single din that hangs just below and in front of the cb, for the tablet/phone. Plan to see if I can get a used phone maybe. My old one is cracked. Or my current lgv10, when I upgrade to a new one.. So it's not so big. But a 7"tablet would be nice. I have a bit of room as my visor tint strip is quite low. So don't think itd really be much lower than that.

And my progress is actually kinda slow going. Ha. With limited experience, tools and time, it's proving more difficult than I thought. Ha.

Search for MOLLE panels. I know there's a thread somewhere around TW.

Progress is progress. I always appreciate when I come up with an idea and see it through to fruition and it turns out as useful as I initially envisioned.

Decided to redo it and use the 4xrac mounts like I was initially going to do. But it's done. Was gonna tidy up my sub wires, but that'll be going bye bye..

Realized doing it the other way, the jack was gonna be too low and interfere with my future storage plans. Plus, this was much easier. The jack mechanism is vibrating so I'm gonna strap that down a bit. But it's sturdy! I may end up taking the jack out if I realize I need even more height/depth for my drawer system. Because I do plan to get a bed rack/rtt setup and will just mount it to that. But I did want it out of the elements.. If I can get it all to fit in the cab tho, that's where I wanna keep it. Next up is my sub enclosure platform. That's gonna be fun. Then after that, figure out if I can do a drawer system that will sit on top of that. Hope I can pull it all off. Ha.

Turned out very nice. The new jack mounts look good. Looking forward to see what you do for a storage/drawer system so I can steal some ideas for later.

There are two different ways to mount a sub in a box. either the magnet goes inside the box or reverse mount it where the magnet is outside the box. either way I believe the box needs to be sealed if anything to prevent a nasty rattle and poor sound quality. not sure what air space requirements are on reverse mounting them as I have never done it this way. if it were me and only had one 12 or what have you and you wanted to keep the space in the rear would be to create a custom center console piece as to not interfere with storage space.

Alright cool. I'll keep that in mind. I have an idea to make an enclosure that has a top, and two sides, mated to the back panel I made. And use some sound deadning mats all over the bottom and sides. Especially the bottom, Maybe use some butyl tape and stick it to the underside of the panels to mate with the floorboard. To kinda seal it all up around the edges, and use the bottom and back of the cab as part of the enclosure. Not sure if it's gonna work. Sounds like a good plan anyways. Lol. Gonna do it with just the one sub I have and see how it sounds. Before I invest too much into it.

Oh and another question.. What should I be using for wood? I was thinking mdf for the enclosure part. Probly 3/4" for the sides and top. Then use plywood for my drawer system on top. Or just all mdf? Are there any pros and cons of mdf used for storage? I hear mdf is best used for enclosures and plywood is frowned upon. But only see people using plywood for storage..

definitely mdf for the enclosure. you can use it for the storage as well it will just be more expensive. if you're covering it up with carpet ply wood would be fine. just make the sub enclosure a little smaller so it wraps around the enclosure itself for rigidity and ease of not having to mate the two together. I don't know if that made sense or not but basically make the sub enclosure then on the sides screw the plywood to the outside of the mdf and extend to the rear of the cab if you are going to front face the speakers. do a sealed enclosure as you wont have to have as much airspace volume taking up storage space. it wont be as loud but should still sound pretty decent. i would build the enclosure for two subs or however many you are planning to use in the future but just separate them so there isn't too much air space for one. plan a head and measure two to three times and cut once haha. if you need help let me know if you're ever in tempe we can figure something out or a direction to start heading to. kinda hard to visualize in words..

As a finish carpenter who has worked with a lot of MDF and plywood, I would use MDF for your enclosure and use plywood anywhere where joints are stressed such as drawers. Looks like you're doing a good job so far.

I hear ya. And think I know kinda what you're explaining. I drew up this very crude drawing. Kept adding to it And now looks like chicken scratch. Ha. Hope you can get an idea of what I'm thinking with this. Seems pretty simple in my mind. I didn't wanna go all out. But this seems like it'd be doable for me. Was just worried about trying to get all the edges and seams sealed up. That's why I kinda wanna keep the oem storage compartments in there, to help eliminate some air space vs tearing it all out and ending up with too much air space behind the subs.. Or just put in a divider in the middle. Idk... I just wanna know if it's futile to try and accomplish this, or if it's gonna be a big waste of time unless I get it professionally done. Which I won't. I didn't wanna invest too much money or time into this. But if it can be done the way I'm thinking with just a few sheets of wood and some dynamat and extra sealing precations, then I'll attempt it.

Edit: and this idea is different to what you had originally quoted where I was going to mount the subs into the storage compartment. This will be a (hopefully) completely sealed compartment. And I'll be adding storage on top of this enclosure. But I do get what you were talking about now. Where I would mate the compartment to the enclosures inside. But with this new idea, that won't be needed.

Yess!! That's clean!! Looks like he even added a bench type seat on top. Makes me wanna do that now instead! Lol. Idk. I really would like some storage drawers on top tho. But yeah, nice find mang! Exactly what I'm planning on except with just two 12's. Will sit a bit higher than that one I think, but that works to my advantage because with my plan for the drawers, I'm hoping they'll be high enough (but not too high) and just tilt the seat forward and slide the drawer out for access. Not dead set on that tho. Kinda anxious about taking up ALL the room back there. Ha. I may just skip the drawers and make a box instead. Idk. Enclosure is first tho! Lol.
