    Yea, I agree with it all, despite what the "tin foil hat" crowd says... it's disturbing. End of story. We have no privacy anymore. If you ever go down the rabbit hole of your privacy rights, you'd understand that. It truly is fucken scary.

    Worse in some states. Without getting too political here, and it's hard not to in this discussion, it's very clear that where you live determines just how much privacy you have. Same goes for self defense. However, things we buy now days, it's borderline unavoidable unless you are a full on off grid hermit. And then, you can expect even more of a fight from government - they will find a way to make you comply. Tax you until you die. Plus, there truly is no more hiding. So, I agree, just because we have a smart phone and drive a Tacoma, doesn't mean we accept this privacy invasion. The downside is... what are we gonna do about it? Cuz so far, it's proved that 'nothing' is the answer and when some are bold enough to do something, how quickly they are thrown under the bus and the majority believe every line fed to them about it.

    G.O.'s 1984 was supposed to be fiction. Then again, science fiction is a precursor to science fact...

    Anytime. I'm no genius, I learn from others who know more and retain what I can and share with others. I'm thankful for permanent registration, no taxes and no gun laws with the great state of Montana. It's just unfortunate as you stated that other states aren't as fortunate

    OMG!!! That's awesome! I vowed to keep mine after I took my 86 to the junk yard for a blown clutch.. I was 16 and thought I knew everything. When I got my 84 she had a forever home

    More evidence that 2017’s are the greatest Tacomas ever. Mine runs on vacuum tubes and can’t sent out any signals since they discontinued dial-up internet.

    For sure. I had a buddy when I was stationed in Colorado that had Toyota like that. Had a flatbed on the back for who the hell knows why, but all be damned if that truck didn't pull it off and look good. He paid like $6k for it back in 2011ish, and it was in really good condition with less than 130k. I'd love to have a truck like that as a secondary... or even turn my 3rd gen into a secondary ;)

    What is that gen even called? It's not a Tacoma, right? Either way, I think he was fibbing about the $6k part and I don't even wanna know how much a well maintained early model like that would cost today.

    My wife said to sell my 84, I reminded her she was born in 92 and that it's illegal in this country to sell women or otherwise she'd be gone and myb84 would share the bedroom. She's never brought it up again
