Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
I have the perfect set up now after all my selling and buying. Have my badass 84 22r, my 2019 overlander, my ridiculous cummins and of course, my old v8 dodge ranch truck. All manuals, all 4wd. All simple to work on

Ahh yes! The front and back camera simultaneously mod gets them every time!

Since my 2017 only has one camera, I mounted it in the back seat to face the dashboard. This is actual footage of my head unit with the truck in reverse (Toyota Corporate has no idea what I’m up to).

I mean, he's just holding a video interface card with a 512mb EPROM chip and an SDRAM chip. The camera interface chip labelled CA0013 is a dead giveaway. I'd be willing to bet it's tied into the CANBUS system in a way that over time it would throw codes if you removed it because it can't verify itself with the mothership.

But this isn't news. Telematics are also a way that car companies are still able to use DMCA laws to keep tuners from cracking software and completely taking over every editable variable known to man. Toyota can prove that tuners changing anything on the vehicle side might effect something "critical" that Toyo didn't intend and could affect their telematics communications, so they are allowed to protect themselves with DMCA laws because the code is still being used and actively worked on at Toyota. Live "safety" updates are one "feature" included in this bloatware.

I understood, I just made it correct instead of sarcastically misleading.

Do the 2016-18 Tacomas have the DCM Telematics Transceiver or is this a 2019+ thing? I can’t seem to find it on my 2018 nor do I have any SOS function in mine.

Certain models had it. I know that it was factory with the corollas and highlanders and those kinda models. Tacos I think limited was the only one in 18 but my offroad had it and I never ordered that feature

This reads a little better instead of one giant paragraph.

    Interesting post!
