Can't open the rear side windows in the newer access cabs, therefore, you can't install the in-channel version. And....the stick-on outside would be for looks only.

I have AVS in-channel. No problems with window closing or leakage. Very functional.

I've got the AVS in channel on my Double Cab (got them on ebay for $54) and my wife's Expedition and I love them. I will never use the kind that stick to the outside. Also, I would advise against any brand that has the leg on the front visor. It makes the A pillar thicker and it's already too thick.

I have the egr ones and they're great! I have had only one problem here in Oklahoma with them due to the wind and dust/dirt.....It gets inside inbetween the glass and vent shade and when I close my window it scratches it....I just have to clean in there alot more now.

Have the AVS in channel shades. Been on the truck for 4 years w/o any problems. They give the truck a cleaner look than the outside mounted ones.
