I purchased the weather tech in channel window deflectors awhile back. I love them but the past few weeks I've noticed an issue with the driver side. It's started to give a loud pop when the window gets to a certain point. Even worse, the last week or two I've noticed the portion of the window to the rear of vehicle only goes down to about the weather seal. I've also noticed the front of the window seems to dip down a little which I believe causes the rear portion of the window to kick up. I can push it down the rest of the way, but worried about damage to the window as well as the motor. Can anyone give me some advice as far as how to fix or what the issue at hand is?

This is concerning since I have those same ones. How long have you been running them?

I've had mine in for about 6 months... no problems thus far. I do NOT have power windows, though.

I have not looked at the Tacoma door interior, but typically the glass is glued to a metal track that attaches to the window motor. The motor raises and lowers the track and the glass moves along with the track. I bet you the glue has come loose and the glass has dislodged out of the rear section of the track. If that's the case it's probably an easy fix. I'm thinking pop off the door cover and moisture barrier and take a good look at it.
If the glass has come dislodged, re-adhere it. Perhaps use some glue designed to hold rear view mirrors to glass? That's my first thought, there could be better glue to use.

I have the weathertech in channels waiting to be installed so this topic is also of interest.

Yeah this is what's prevented me from installing inchannel window visors. It can't be good that a foreign object is constantly in the way of the window motor trying to do its job

I have in-channels, but they were put in by the original owner, I assume years ago. My windows work fine, but the only concern I have is that there won't be a good seal if I ever remove them. Seems like it would "stretch" the channel over time.

Really though, I never my windows down unless I'm at a drive through, which isn't very often.

I have no deflectors, my drivers side front power window on my '15 started making a loud clunk recently, window track or regulator is apparently bent (no idea how that happened), dealer ordered parts (under warranty), I wonder if they'd try to deny warranty on this if I'd had deflectors installed? I've been thinking of getting some, not sure now.

Not much yet, but do have Flowmaster exhaust, with Rockford Fosgate P600.1Bd 600 RMS Mono amp for my 12" P3 with custom box and a Punch P400-4 Four Channel amp for my mids and highs running 100 watts per channel and have two speakers on each channel, not to mention 6 more hooked to the 4 channels from the headunit as well....Hopefully soon will be a body lift with new tires, and eventually the actual suspension...
Well, now would be the best time if any, with new regulator...otherwise, can't hurt to ask, all they can say is no.

I just installed in-channel Weathertechs yesterday. At first the fit was too tight on the front windows. The last couple inches caused the window to bog and stutter. I took them out re-adjusted them and they work perfect. No motor struggle. For me, the key was to seat the rear of the visor first, but seat it so the edge hugs the outermost portion of the channel. Stick your head in the window to see the channel and adjust as to cause the least interference when the window goes up.

@OP, take the visors out and see if it still pops. If so, I would try taking the inside door panel off to see what's going on. Once resolved, reinstall and adjust.

    No problems with mine.
The FJC is another story. Due to the window shape, it's not a snug fit and they rattle when the windows are down.
