This thread is going to circle the toilet pretty quickly if you're just going to make stupid arguments with people who post in it.

Either you made the thread as a "here's why I stand whether you like it or not" piece, or you were butthurt about the 4x2 vs 4x4 debate from post 1 and are using this as your own little soapbox and keyboard battlefield.

Either way, your attitude is just as shitty and childish as any 4x4 primadonna with stupid comments like this.

All joking aside....if I do some light offroading or the snow gets deep....I throw on the 2 extra rims with Duratracs that I have. Works for me. :notsure:

Aussie likes to grief people in general, it has nothing to do with 4x2 specifically.:p At least, that's what I think.

At least he's not like smitty who unironically believes a 4x4 with bald tires would still outpace a 4x2 with good ATs or MTs. 4 wheel drive is apparently so freakin good it literally breaks physics.

Please don't make every Prerunner owner look like an idiot with you, OP. Make your initial point and be done, arguing your case and trying to paint your truck as superior, well.. I don't know, but it's apparent you're the butthurt one in the argument and trying to justify a shortcoming most Prerunner owners don't have because they bought the truck they wanted.

Nobody makes these threads except people with regret. Nobody argues with 4x4 owners and say they paid more for the same truck with a button, that's just stupid. Incredibly stupid.

Stop while you're not completely buried.

HEres the real reason he is so dead set on defending his 2wd. Couldn't afford a 4wd, so has to get people to say "it's ok buddy, we still like your 2wd."

A lot (but not all) of the 4x4 guys....particularly the ones who are serious off-roaders....or those who think they are anyway....tend to believe that they are the standard by which all things Tacoma are measured. Everyone else with a less capable rig (2wd) has somehow compromised or made a poor decision.

    Just utter silliness.

The "pre-runner" argument all depends on application. Great write up to the OP and logic is well explained. Most of your truck owners will never find the need for 4x4 in daily driving there truck and buy them for a variety of reasons. Honestly, if you have a locked rear end, a decent driver and a good set of tires, you will get out of most situations you will find yourself in. Hell, you have the same amount of tires spinning than a 4x4 w/ and open diff. 4x4 has caused more issues for me than anything in the past because I had the false reassurance that I could get out.

However, I didn't buy my truck to put on the road every day. I want to explorer; I want to get a true four tires spinning and get outdoors. Unfortunately, I just haven't had the time to get out there. There is a point of realization that putting all this time and money into a rig for things you think you need will do no good if you never hit the trails.

Plus, I would hate to try to put a boat into the water and not be able to pull off of the ramp...

    Fixed it.

There is a reason most off-road Parks won't allow 2wds to participate
