I shift into "D" and release the foot brake and the truck doesn't move. I give it some gas, the engine revs and then the wheels go, like it needs to get past a sticking point. Other times i'll shift back into neutral and then into drive again and it works. This happens maybe once a month. Can someone please help with this?

    Thanks!!

Sometimes when your truck gets wet like after you wa dsh it, water gets into the drum breaks and turns the brake dust into a sticky paste. Just need to drive it a bit.

A belt slipping? I know it's not the same thing or even close to the same type engine but this happens all the time on my four wheeler. Shift to drive, hit the throttle, engine revs, then finally bike starts to move after it makes a sound like you just hit a dog (bad analogy but that's really what it sounds like). Just a thought, though maybe a stupid one. Good luck.

I figured I was way off base there. Thanks.
