I am taking the taco in for an oil change at the dealer on tuesday and Im wondering what I should ask them to do as far as tsb's. I bought the truck used about 3 months ago and I have no idea if the previous owner had any tsb's done. Will the dealership do any without me asking or bringing it up? This might be a stupid question, but I dont know how hard it is to get the dealer to do any work on the truck that they would have to cover. All past experiences I have had with dealerships was like pulling teeth.

    Thanks

you can check on what was done with your truck by running the vin on the toyota owners site. so far the only tsb i got done was the gas pedal/ecu flash and harsh ride leaf kit. you might have a few more? depends on year. a search will tell you what you might expect.

Hi how's it going? Can you give me the Toyota owners website so I can look up TSBs for my 2005 Tacoma? Thanks!

register and make an account. also there is a link on this site as well where you can enter your vin and see what recalls you may have as well. You might want to check the stickies

What problems are you having with the truck that you are trying to solve?

If you're having a problem and the TSB applies, I'm sure the dealer will be happy to do it for you and take your money.

+2. Technical Service Bulletins issued don't affect everyone. If you have some problems discuss them with the service advisor and see if there are any TSBs to correct those problems.

Not the same with every dealership, but I bought my 08 at the end of June and had it back in the shop about 2 weeks later for a couple of CELs. Mechanic mentioned about checking for the TSB harsh ride before I did and immediately I perked up. So some dealers will, some you have to fight to get them to do it.

No TSB's will apply to your 05. It only applies to vehicles under the 3yr/36k warranty.
