I travel globally as an engineer fixing MRIs so i have eaten my fair share of good bad and ugly burgers. As far as franchise burger joints go I have to say that Five Guys Burgers and Fries is my favorite. Moving from NY to SoCal i was introduced to In and Out. In and out and five guys make amazing burgers. Its really hard to compare. Not a fan of either french fries, however, Five guys wins the toss for me because of all the topping you can put on the burger for FREE. I myself get the double bacon cheese burger with mayo, ketchup, grilled onions, and sauteed mushrooms. Damn i miss Five Guys...the closest to me in either cerritos or carson city. (At least and hour and a half drive from the IE) Harold and Kumar go to five guys?

okay. try this burger people: Double-Single, Animal Style, Both kinds of onions, add ketchup and mustard.
I've been working at In-n-out for over 2 years now and I can say that this is the best burger I have thought up since I started.

haha...yeah 12 dollars for a burger, fries, drink was a bit pricey... compared to about 6 or so bucks for animal style fries and burger at in n out

you don't have to get the cajun fries at five guys, they have regular. The reason why there are so many fries is becuase they first fill the cup then get another smallerl steel tub thing(I don't know what it's called) and dump it in the bag. I've watched them last time I went.

Sorry no comparison, I've never been to In N' Out burger but I want to.

The cajun fries suck, but the regular fries are the best.

    I forgot to mention...

The potatoes came from SUGAR CITY I.D. today!! Sugar City makes some good fries!!

My large bacon cheeseburger, small fry and small soda was about just under $10. Expensive...but worth it once in a while.

For you guys to be picking 5 guys over in and out, it has to be great! In and out is the best by far. I would like to try 5 guys. In and out anumal style fries with grilled onions are the best ever. I eat all the fries before the burger!

haha i read the title and thought that five guys had had a bad experience at in n out...ive only eaten at in n out once and let me tell you....it lived up to its name cause that shizzz was in and out within an hour!!!!i was on a road trip and i pulled into the first gas station after we had left the place about 20 miles down the road...

but it was good...where are Five Guys located? ive never heard of them...and does the place smell a lot of peanuts? cause i am allergic...and with no drive though that could be a problem...
