Ok so here's what has happened. I hit a light pole and so I bought a 95 taco with a blown 4cyl in it to fix my 3.4 v6. The body on the 95 is almost perfect. image.jpg
I had been thinking about adding some more lift to it so I've decided now is the time to do so. It currently has a 2" leveling kit and 265.75.16 tires on it but I plan to put some fuel krank 17x9 rims with 33x12.50 wheels it. Here was it before I killed the pole.
image.jpg What I'm wanting to figure out is what is the best lifting option I should put under my rig so these tires will not scrub. Any and all opinions will be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Hi, Most guys on here would say go to Toyteclifts.com. They have a great selection and different set ups depending on how much you wish to spend. I used to run their set up and loved it. Only went away from it because I wanted more lift.

With those wide-ish wheels you will rub without trimming and cutting. Youll need a DB lift if you dont wanna cut on your truck. Even a 3" lift with 8" wheels and 12.5 tires youll rub fairly good in situations where you're cycling your suspension. So the wider the wheel the more it'll rub, obviously...

Yeah I've experienced this rubbing already . My daf says to just get smaller, mire narrow tires but he just doesnt understand. Guess that's why he drives a stock f150 and I drive a taco lol. Thanks for your input.

"The best lifts" can get really pricey really fast. You could get adjustable Bilstein 5100s and AAL and call it a day.

However lifts won't take care of those 33x12.50 tires. Your tires are more than likely rubbing when you turn because those tires are wide. I would suggest going to a 285/75 or even a 255/85, but from your rim selection, your truck is likely a "show" truck and you just like big fat wheels and tires just because of the looks.

In that case, you may want to get wheel spacers (not another spacer lift) and trim and cut wherever the tires rub. :sawzall:

P.S. Watch out for those pesky light poles. They do seem to jump out of nowhere. :p

Yeah those light poles are sneaky lol. And I think I will go with the bilsteins. I've seen a lot of people on here using them and they seem to work very well. As for whether it's a show truck or not, kinda and also kinda not. I like it to look good and I am a fan of trucks with wide tires but I also am a avid hunter so I still have used for it to go off road and get the job done. The current tires I have only scrub if I am going along the side of a hill and I try to turn up or down the hill. Any other time they don't scrub. Thanks for the input.
