Looking to buy some in window channel rain guards because I always drive with my window cracked and rain seems to sneak in more than any other vehicle I've owned. I've always had good experience with Weathertech but after searching around the forums, it seems like most people buy the AVS ones. I've never had these on a vehicle before so I've got a few questions...

Is there any difference between the Weathertech and AVS guards? Do the rain guards inhibit road vision at all? Thanks, fellas

Weathertech goes all the way down to the mirror and I believe doesn’t use tape and is held in by friction or something like that.
Avs stops at the top and is held in by tape.
Both might possibly cause some deformity of the window run channel.
Some complaints of both weathertech and avs is that they fall out but I’ve had no problems with my avs ones.
Both don’t block any view at all, what blocks my view is the huge pillar on the passenger side with the grab handle. An entire full grown adult can hide behind that and you wouldn’t see that person.

Got avs inside mount on my Tacoma, outside mount on the wife's Highlander. Both increase wind noise, the Highlander is worse. No problem with either when installing and all are still on there. No trouble with visibility. Don't even notice them anymore.

Had both in-channel and stick on, I'm never doing stick on again. AVS or weathertech depends on the style you prefer, i chose avs but keep forgetting to order until I either get water dripped on me or my truck is hot as hell after work. Then I forget again.
