I bet you have Scout navigation, which works with an app on your phone. You have to download an app for it to work. Burn your data, when it's on. Integrated Navigation is built in truck.

My Nav doesn't show streets that have been around for decades much less the house address. Its a 2018. Any hope for this thing to actually have some benefit?

My Tacoma is the 2nd vehicle I've had with in dash Nav. I assume it's as crappy as my Chevy's was. As a matter of fact I just recieved an email today to update my Chevy Nav for only, "$139.99".

Toyota offers two options of NAV/GPS. Integrated, and Scout. Integrated uses an SD card, and antenna/GPS module in truck to track you on SD card maps. Scout uses an app interlinked with your phone, it uses your phone as NAV/GPS. Integrated is only as good as the SD card maker, made it. Some are better than others all depends on Manufacturer.

My Nav works great what sucks i noticed is the estimated arrival time is way off. Google maps said 4 hours which was correct vs the Nav unit saying 5.5 hours. When it got to about an hour away it seemed to adjust and become more accurate.

He did say its an SR5. Most of SR5 come with entune plus with Scout. I have seen one or two SR5 with entune premium, but not sure if those were customer swapped or what. I bet you are correct here.

Mine does use Scout for GPS, but I didn't know it used those maps for the traffic maps. I'll fire up Scout and the Traffic app and see what happens. Thanks for the tip na8rboy.

Pretty sure traffic is based off hd radio. I have scout and traffic doesnt work. It always says no signal. Same as weather.

I have HD radio, the map just doesn't show the city I'm driving in.
