got under the 07 taco today to change the fluid in my crawl box, drained all the fluid. when I go to pump new fluid in it just keeps pouring out of the fill plug after like 1 pump. I've been told it doesn't take much fluid but I would guess it takes more than what I am putting in.. new to the whole dual cases setup so am I missing something?

Did you install the cases? Are you sure you opened the correct drain port? Take a pic and post it up. Do you have an auto or manual transmission? The crawl box holds close to 3 quarts since it fills the transmission cavity by the rear seal so I think you must have opened the wrong drain plug.

I didn't install them came on the truck. I would have guessed this was the fill plug. But got ahold of inch worm today and fill plug is on the opposite side by output shaft. They said I have the older style so the dual cases share the same fluid I'll have to fill the front from the shifter

The transfer case drain is the big 10mm hext in the middle of your picture. What you are pointing to is the fill plug on the transfer case. Yes, if they are clocked either drive truck on angle they are clocked at and fill through the fill port or just fill through the shifters. Looks like Kevin's old truck from the pictures, don't think they make lefty's anymore.

The crawl box is in front of that and you'll see two seperate plugs on on the passenger side and one towards the bottom.

Yea I gotta replace a shifter seal anyway so was just gonna do that. And yes it is Kevin's old rig. But there's no other plugs on the sides or anything just those two and one on the drivers side by the output shaft.

Wow that's interesting, didn't realize the original inchworm adapter to the lefty doesn't have a drain on it. Maybe the best way is to unbolt the whole thing, but you would think they would have added a drain plug in there?! My marlin box was made maybe a year before that and it has a drain plug at the bottom.

    Edit: pic for comparison:

Yea that's what I thought to, that's what Inchworm was saying is the old style like I have has shared fluid for both cases. So it's best to fill through the shifter on the front box to ensure its got fluid to. Really dumb design flaw if you ask me.
