Only if you currently run 17” rims.

The truck came with 17” rims. How much larger tire can run without changing rims. At what point will I need the speedometer calibrated

You never "need" to recalibrate your speedometer, it will just be a bit off. Most vehicles are not 100% accurate from the factory.

This will answer all your questions on tire size: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc

There are other considerations as well. One size up, you should be fine.

The last number (17) in the tire size corresponds to the wheel size. As long as that number matches, they fit the wheel.

Your speedometer will be off no matter what tire size you go with if its bigger or smaller than stock. Recalibration is up to you. I personally didn’t feel like spending the money to be able to do it.

Thanks, guys. I drive on the beach looking for the fish and feel a wider footprint will help me stay on top.

Just be careful not to go too wide, you'll start to rub. Especially if you're lifted in front, it pulls the upper control arm down and closer to the tire. The right tread pattern can also make a big difference.

Oh, I air down to 18lbs or lower at times because tourists who don’t know the difference think because the have a Jeep it’s no necessary. What they don’t realize is how much they’re tearing up the beach and heating their trannys.
Bottom line is I need new shoes
