Please before any judgements are made, understand that I am a complete rookie when it comes to lifts. My previous car was a slammed STi, so I have no idea what the hell goes on in the world of my truck being higher than stock. I have Bilstein 5100's all around, am purchasing an AAL, and ProComp 3" coils in the front running 285/70/17 IROK ND's all around with Method NV's. The AAL is currently not installed and the front of the truck is noticeably higher than the rear. At what setting should the 5100's be at for the truck to be even? Do the coils actually lift it or are they just stiffer coils FOR lifted trucks?

    Sincerely,

    Noob

The coils lift the front. Assuming your 5100s are currently set at 0, adding the AAL should level out the truck. Just depends on the condition of your leafs and what AAL you get.

So is it bad to run the Bilstein's at anything more than 0 then? Or can I run them at the higher settings and just put in a bigger AAL?

I'm confused by the confusion. Where's the confusion? Did you think there was a 3" difference between the front and rear, that 3" would level it out?

" I lifted the front only and now it's taller than the rear"?

No I just was under the impression that the coil springs were just stiffer and FOR trucks that were already lifted, not that they actually lifted the front themselves.

Meanwhile, you just gained +25 "bro points" with the nose high prerunner stance

The pro comp coils are lift coils, 3" from your post. In your case I would leave the bilsteins at 0 unless you need more lift. Put the AAL in the rear and see how your stance is. How much lift is the AAL advertised for?

Do not run the Bilstein's at a higher setting. keep those at 0, and use the lift from the coils. Anything more than that and you'll run into issues.

Might run into issues. There are people running that with OME and other lifting coils that swear by 0.85".

    Again, I don't recommend it.

So right now you have 5100's with stock coils set at 0? You are wanting to buy the procomp 3" lift coils and a AAL. This all correct?

He has the procomp coils installed already and is looking to buy a AAL.

Do these "bro points" contribute to my status on TW? I should post a photo. It looks ridiculous.

The only reason I was thinking of running them at 0.85 is because I have a 170lb steel bumper on the front and figured I might get a big of sag from it...

Ok, threw me off with the AAL between the 5100's and procomp coils and saying purchasing.

Alright, alright. I'm gonna do it. How do I make the big photos. I've read the thread but it doesn't make sense to me, and something this stupid looking has to be seen in its full sized glory.
