I might be able to beat that on a technicality.....I was BORN Floyd county (just north of Louisville) but now live in Kentucky :( (Surrounded by pUKe fans) I still bleed Crimson Red (IU) and consider myself a HOOSIER for life.

Where I live now, we have two distinct types of Tacoma drivers.....Some don't even recognize other Tacoma's, and some that act like you're their long lost best friend.....(ie wave, swerve into my lane, etc)

I think you nailed it. The forum seems to have an "angry" overtone to it. Almost every thread goes off topic, replies are demeaning and difficult to sift through to find answers. I am very active member on Camaro5 and it's the exact opposite. Yes, there are a few that feel like they know it all, but overall, great group of people to get help on any topic about your car. I have made several friends from all over the US due to that forum, and the Camaro, and traveling. Hoping to do the same with my next Truck.

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks, trying to gather information on the new Tacomas and how they stack up against the Colorado. The Colorado is definitely hit and miss, with quit a few issues that have me looking back at the Tacoma. I have owned an '85, '95, and '05 Tacomas. Everyone was still running like a charm at 160k+ miles. My latest one has 148k miles and the only part replaced was a wheel bearing. I love my truck, just waiting to see if any issues shake out on the new Tacoma. My 05' was the first one Sold in Indy, at Beck Toyota. I wasn't sure who was more excited, me for the purchase or Mr Beck for owning that "I sold the first one" title. It was 2 hours of negotiations before I signed and walked away. So now, I am back wanting to find what options they all come with, and what options can I get (like Leather on a OR model). Seems I can't, but this is stuff I am wanting to find out before I start hunting with the dealer.

I was hoping to find the 'loving/friendly' Tacoma forum (much like the Camaro forum), but wow. I may have to keep my chest waders on when I swing through here reading...lol.

    Appreciate the welcome!!!

The Grill: if you don't like it, you change it...otherwise stop the bitching. we have the same whining about the new 6th Gen Camaro.
