Time to get another. I went way too long between trucks, but the new one is a real garage queen.

    HAHAHA.

I still have a 3rd gen 4Runner that I'm working on fixin' up. Maintenance items first, then some goodies.

    Currently needs:

    Alternator
    Battery (due to the alternator)
Suspension (nothing crazy, I don't think.) including CO's, springs in rear, bushings etc.
New headlight lenses (glass, thank goodness. Gonna have some fun here)
New struts for the back hatch
Tires (gonna have some fun here too)
Needs a good detail as well.
Exhaust. Ever since we got the damn thing, the exhaust has been loud. Like, stupid loud. Same with the intake. Gotta quiet this down somehow. I'm thinking new catalytic converters and muffler with new pipe all the way back from the header. May need new headers too.
That's about it really. May run a dual battery set-up for fail safes. Would like to do bumpers and all that too but, the boss lady doesn't see the purpose.

It's hard to get people to go. Had an event planned about a month ago where 8-10 people were confirmed. Day of the event, I was the only one that showed up. Come to find out the organizer of that event that cancelled due to work obligations was ordering wheels at a local 4x4 shop the afternoon/night of the event. Go figure.

Pretty typical of this area lately for the past year or so. If we can get people to actually commit and show up, it's pretty fun. If not, it sucks.

I would like to try to make a meet. I work every weekend and never have my days off back to back. I would need atleast a month in advance to request days off and even then, it could be denied. Work makes the wheels keep turning...

Friday AM. Bloomington royal had the frame coated. I don’t trust them. Didn’t remove any of the scale before coating and found a 2-3 inch area that’s now a hole by the drivers side cat-converter. Hoping they replace the frame

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.

I haven’t been out for awhile. Badlands got boring really quick. Everything decent is about 4 hrs away.

Haspin acres was ok except for all the garbage, Interlakes was decent, Red Robin is ok, Rish Kentucky is one of my favorites, Windroxk down by Knoxville Tennessee was a really good time. I spent a week down there with the land cruisers.

That is a common theme around IL/IN. I also agree that Badlands can get really tame/boring after a few times. Shoot me your info, we are going out west this upcoming year maybe you'd like to join?
