Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
I don’t remember seeing it there last time I was there.

Dang. I'll be heading west in a bit to Indy.

Next time you're heading this way, let me know. You can stop by the house and we can have a bourbon or 10.

I did a quick search of this place and it looks decent for some quad fun! My parents were born in Rushville and this place is not too far from there. Hit me up next time and I might join you. I'm just east of you in the Marion area.

I’m pretty sure we’ll be there next weekend also. We’re still new to quads but there’s plenty to do.

It was a giant tree in an open area where people camped. You had to follow the fire trail away from the main gate for 5 minutes or so to get back there. That's not the original, but funny to see the tradition carry on.

I’m real close to haspin. Heard nothing good about it. Supposed to be nothing but ruts requiring 40” tires and mud and bad erosion....
I’ll check out the others, thanks for the tip

Yes. The history of Haspin is one of turmoil and carnage.

HOWEVER. They've recently moved more towards motorcross and I think that has pulled enough people off the trails to sort of let them "heal", so-to-speak.

Couple guys in the Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky/Tennessee thread have recently started visiting Haspin again and have decent reviews.

I think it is still better suited for 4 wheelers/ATV or SxS. But, 1st Gen Tacomas and 3rd Gen 4runners are close to the same footprint of the bigger SxS's.

I'd give Haspin a couple more years before I took ol Freddie down there, but they have definitely changed the direction. Yes, there are still places you need bigger tires and more capable vehicles, but ALL ORV locations have that.

Other than that, we dont really have much around here unless it is private land.

Anyone know of a shop here in central Indiana that offers a rust protection service? Looking for something like Fluid Film or Woolwax to be applied. Thanks for any direction on this.

I would like to do it myself but unfortunately free time isn’t something I have in excess currently! If I had a lift I would be all over it.

Recently bought a house about as far SE as you can get and still be in Marion county - 5 min from the County Line Rd on ramp. Lots of work to still do on the house, but it's nice to have a 3 car garage to stretch out in, finally I can get back to doing some wrenching on the taco. Any fellow Gen 1 types in the area? I'll admit that being in a rental for a year has gotten me a bit out of practice, and managed to acquire a fair bit of rust underneath. Also, while I've only put 30k miles on in the last 9 years (lived in Chicago, and walked or took the train everywhere) the tires were replaced in 2011 and general advice is to replace by 10 years. Anyone have a recommended tire place? I've been pretty happy with Discount Tire for the last 20 years or so, but I also had a tire guy up there, and don't have any connections down here yet.

Driving out of our alley in Chicago for the last time:
