I mean, yeah that could be @Empty_Lord , but there are so many of those played out first gen Tundras around, who knows for sure.

You'd think working at Toyota he'd make enough money to buy a 3rd Gen Pro Taco by now. :infantry:

Anyone ever been to Haspin Acres on the east side of Indiana? How does it compare to Redbird or Badlands?
Haven't been to Badlands but I have heard some things about it. Been to Redbird a couple of times now and its pretty fun. Group of guys I work with have been getting into wheeling and we are wanting to try some different places.

Did you look at it on Google Earth? Looks pretty small and flat, but seems they're definitely trying to make something fun.

How is Redbird? Are the trails tight enough that you get pinstripes?

I used to ride ATVs when I was younger at the Badlands. Great off-road park for a quad, seems like it maybe a little limited in trails for a truck but been a long time since I have been there.

I did but I have heard there are more trails in the trees. There are a few pics on google maps of jeeps all wonky in the tree cover. I was afraid it was going to be mainly a mud pit then atv/utv trails. A buddy I wheel with had it suggested to him as a place to check out.

Redbird is fun. They have levels of trails green easiest, blue intermediate, black advanced, and red expert. most of the greens are connecting trails and through trails. My DCLB had no issues fitting in most of these. The blue trails start to add some angle and get a little tighter but again my DCLB did fine on the ones we have done. Once you get to the blacks and reds they are either almost vertical or very tight. We have only done greens and blues since the group I go with we are all pretty new to this. Can report though no pinstripes yet.

HOWEVER once it rains the level of difficulty jumps up because the mud pulls you into ruts and you just have to drive them. When its dry you can climb out of most of the ruts with ease.

I started looking more at the google maps and it looks like there are a bunch of trail looking tracks out in here too, but I agree everything above that in your screen cap looks flat. not sure if these are sidebyside trails or if they are big enough for full size trucks. might have to call them

Fishers checking in here. For those who have been to Redbird, are the easy trails easy enough to do on a mostly stock truck? Just put some Toyo Open Country AT3's on my DCSB Sport and want do some low-risk off-roading - nothing too crazy. Is it worth the drive to do the easy trails?

Welcome to the Indiana thread, Noblesville here. Couple work buddies of mine and I have done redbird 2x and the easy trails aren't too bad as long as its dry, if its muddy its much harder. One of my buddies drives a stock 4runner with only a tires upgrade and the other a stock jeep who on the first trip was on street tires and was able to do the easy trails. Neither of them had any troubles on the easy trails and we started doing some of the blue (moderate I think) trails with mixed results. Im pretty sure these trucks stock can do the blue trails, just keep some straps, a highlift, or come-along in your truck incase you hit a mudhole. Or go with some people who can help pull you out.

If you ever plan to go down hit up this thread ahead of time and see if anyone else wants to go so you aren't going solo.

    @Empty_Lord

Post a few pics and let's here the story on the latest Taco score. That happened awfully fast. The guy was saying he was going to take some time and decide whether to try to gt it back to Cali since it was a 1 owner/sentimental value, then bam, he's hit with the Empty_Lord hard sell and it's gone. You give him some "farm brew" to drink or something? Were there some of your "friends" from Southside Chicago involved to help him "make up his mind"...?

How'd he settle with insurance so fast, etc.

Anyone in the greater-Indy area have a '20+ stock grill? Horizontal grey....no cheese grater or chrome...trying to sort something out.

Putting it out here to see if anyone is interested, got a mostly complete TRD lift kit I got stuck with. (Part number change, can’t return) shocks, grill, parts kit. All that it needs is the radar sensor (which I can get at employee cost) was thinking $800 for what I have

Filled up my Taco today. Fuel prices are dropping in the South end of the state. Hope the rest of you are seeing a down trend.

I was under one of my trucks today and it occurred to me, as I gazed at the rust free underbody, that eventually @Empty_Lord will make me an offer on it. It's nice to have a guaranteed fall back plan. Almost like a savings account. :)

Haspin is very hilly and very tight trails. It's much bigger than you would think. I wouldn't take anything nice there. I used to take my jeeps and my side by side. It's worth the drive(I'm in NWI) so 3.5 hours maybe depending on traffic.

Yeah, someone else said what shows on Google Earth as that cleared section is only a small part of the trails. Sounds like a good place for motorcycles/ATVs.
