Indicator light came on at 10,000 miles

    stock except trim add on's
    indicator light came on at 10,000 miles and I think that it is for an oil change. It took more time than miles for a oil change so they performed the oil change before the 10,000 mile interval. could this be the problem.

    It is a shame that has a toyota has a monitoring system by miles for the oil . The wife's GM suv monitors the oil change needed by the conditions the suv was driven since the last change . In other words it matters if it was city stop and go or all highway. This method is even better than hours .

    Not another oil debate but I am with you . 1 year or 5K is fine with me depending on what I have used it for .
